Happy Birthday Denieka

Just a quick post to wish my friend's daughter a very happy 14th birthday. I made this card for her mum to give her and I hope she likes it.

I used some kraft basics paper from craftwork cards and must say I am pleased with how it turned out. The image below makes the kraft look a bit darker than it is in real life

Pirates of the Caribbean 4 - Dine In is the way to go

Hello All, sorry I haven't been around just returned from a trip to Florida. Before you ask I didn't buy hardly any crafty stash, think I may be sickening for something lol.

Now for the reason for the post, whilst in Florida I went to see the new Pirates movie and tried a new experience called 'Dine In' and truly loved it. You get to choose your seat and then once you sit a waiter takes your drinks and food order and they deliver it to you, and if you get thirsty during the movie you have a call button and they go get you whatever you want, ice cream, dessert, popcorn, drink nothing is too much trouble. Food prices where reasonable and the food itself was hot and tasty, what more could you ask for.

Will definitely be doing this again and at only $2 more per person a bargain as well.

Once I get back on UK time - really struggle with jet lag I will post some cardage.

Hugs

Amanda

Happy 40th Birthday Sarah

Well today one of my friends joins the exclusive over 40 club. Membership benefits include shouting at the TV, finding film scripts totally unbelievable and dodgy comfy shoes lol.

I bought this image from the Stamp Fairy and thought he would be perfect for all types of celebration. Sarah will be celebrating in style as she is on the Dominican Republic on holiday with her husband and friends.

More brads from the brad mountain and lots and lots of stickles.

Papers: Promises from Nit wits
Ribbon: found in my stash - wish I knew where I bought it so I can get some more lol

Snippets - a few makes from the weekend

Hello All on this great Tuesday morning. Going back to work today after another 4 day break is not easy but nose back to the grindstone as they say.

I made both these cards with snippets in my scrap draw, I have been looking there before printing papers and cutting card and it seems to be reducing yeah! I didn't realise how many almost full sheets were in there, some with just a corner missing and I start a new sheet - terrible I know.

So onto the cards, two to show this week, nothing exciting about either but I enjoyed making them. I always print a full a4 sheet when printing digi images so am always left with a few spares, these go in my printer isn't working need to make a card quick box lol. I have used two images from this box so no new printing as well, check me out lol.

Weddings, weddings everywhere

Hello everyone, I know it is a few days since the Royal Wedding but I haven't mentioned it on here before. I didn't read or watch any of the hype before the day as I wanted to see it all for myself and I am so glad I did. I didn't have any preconceived ideas of what the dress would be like and I thought she looked like a princess from the moment she stepped out of the hotel. The whole occasion had a feeling of a joyous love match with pomp and ceremony whilst still feeling like a family wedding. Congratulations to them both.

I felt in a wedding mood so as I had been asked if I could replica a wedding card I made way back in 2008 I decided to give it a go. I must say though not really pleased with this one, never replicated a card before and won't be doing it again in a hurry I can tell you. The only saving grace was finding ribbon that matched the invitations.

Are you sitting comfortably?

I bet you all thought I was going to tell you a story or have a bit of a rant but no just referring to this great image from Digistamp Boutique. I had my eye on this image for a while but didn't have anyone in mind to make a card for, I find if I just buy images then I forget I have them.

I have made this card for my cousin's fiance and even though his birthday isn't until June I finished it yesterday. I have three very girlie cards to make and mojo took a break so I thought ok make a guy card they are quick, simple and really don't require mojo and sometimes they seem to kick start the creative juices.

I have used some of my brad mountain on this card, I love brads but never seem to have the right colour or shape. I want to order some more but need to use a few first, so you may see quite a few cards with brads on them over the next few weeks .

I am entering this card in a brand new challenge blog dedicated to all things guy related 'here come the boys'the first challenge is anything goes and this fits it perfectly lol.
