Super Day

Not quite how I wanted or expected it to turn out but it still works, I should have masked a bit better but there is always next time. I used an older set from clearly besotted and as I bought the new super hero set I might have to make more lol

A New Baby Boy

A break from the splat cards and also a change from my usual baby cards but when you have used your usual and your back up for this little ones big brothers a new design is called for lol. Again I used already made images which I’ve had ready since 2013! 

Once I had decided on the images it came together really quickly.

Cake Splat

The last of these for a while, not the stencil of course that never leaves my desk but the already coloured images lol. Not that I’ve reached the end of them of course I have a lot and I mean a lot still to use up. Maybe that should be my mission what I haven’t used by the end of next year I throw away!!!!

Honey Splat

This is a newer to me stencil from Clearly Besotted, I do love their stencils and have quite the collection, another of the already coloured images and a simple stencil just makes it pop.

Coffee Splat

I might have been trying to use up some of the hundreds of already coloured images I have found since I started moving my craftroom upstairs. Again I find the clearly besotted stencil invaluable in just providing a little supporting act to the image. 

Magnificent Seven Girls are 4

Of course I had to use the girlie version for the 2 girls in the bunch, I might have another background ready to go from these too. The hair was amazing on these images, I wish I had been in my hair colouring phase though lol.

Magnificent Seven Boys are 4

This is the boy version of the magnificent sevens cards this year, I only discovered this digital stamp company in December 2024 but I can already see me using them often, I love the expressive faces on the characters.

I was struggling for a layout when I remembered how much I liked this one from kendra card challenge 10, so I reused it and because it naturally makes three panels I might have another two ready to go for another image lol.

Spotlight Foodies

I was looking for a can stamp for a February birthday card and I came across this set from MFT, so I had to stamp all the images and make cards with them, I already had the deckle edge die and the spotlight sentiments on my desk so a set of quick and cute cards was born.

Big Six Version 2

Normally its a while before you see the boy version of the big six and granted it is a while since the first version was shown but I tend to wait until after their birthdays in case they see the cards on my blog. I did ask for this version of the printable to be made available as I knew it would be perfect for a games loving boy, I might have made more versions too lol, 

Enjoy the Ride

 Another car another card, I do like finding a design and running with it, although I might have used this one as many times as I can without repeating for someone. I do still have a few unused car stamps though so maybe I need to modify it a bit lol.

Reading Nook

Originally I was going to pair a dog image with this background but the sweet november stamps had just arrived and I knew this lady loves to read so it seemed fitting to pair them and use her favourite colours too.

Craftroom Gem

The craftroom sort out unearthed some hidden gems and this was one of them, it was a stamped, coloured and die cut panel just calling out for a sentiment. Bish, Bash, Bosh and it was made.

the clear out/sort has revealed that I like to colour about three times as many images as I need and then I just store them so I will hopefully be using more soon.

Grumpy Coffee Cat

I bought this stamp set for this sentiment and of course I needed to use the main image and my friend has the fluffiest black cat ever and he is grumpy too so it was a match made in heaven.

A cutie patootie

This is technically supposed to be a winter bear however the owner of Wundering Rabbit offered a free little bear if you used one of this set so I used the cutest (in my opinion) one of the lot. I enjoyed colouring him very much and I also used an oldie but goodie spotlight sentiment stamp from MFT. This was on my desk as I was making some food cards (expect those later this month). I also used the offset function on my cricut to print and cut the digital stamp, all I can say is wow and I have used it a lot since.

 

Aged to Perfection

I bought this set from a craftstash sale and I can honestly say I will miss that store a lot, it was so easy to buy a magazine and throw a few dies/stamps in the basket.

Limited Edition

I just had too get this die and stamp set from concord and 9th for my stanley loving friend, not sure how much use it will get after this though lol.

Maybe i should make a few and sell it lol.

Storytime

I was hoping to use these images and make the card look like a book with them popping out of the middle but I ran out of time and steam, hopefully I can try that technique another time. I did find the colouring very therapeutic though and what a difference having matching dies makes, I love fussy cutting so the dies aren't something I normally purchase but they do make life simpler.

I made this at the same time as the previous card and I just spotted that the sentiment didn't stanmp properly.... oh well too late now its already posted lol.

Gaming Boy

You might recognise this design from last year and you would be correct lol. I am still in my well it worked why not make it again phase. The moving rooms which has taken over six months sapped my creativity and a lot of the cards I have made have been variations on a theme, I am hoping that my mojo returns with a bang soon and I can create some new designs

Daffodil Dreams

I really like this altenew set and I am not sure if its the stencil layering, the image or that I am Welsh and its the national flower or a combo of these things lol.

I am still making two cards, mostly so there will be another variation of this one but not until after their birthday.

Wedding Wishes

Its not very often I make wedding cards in fact I normally prefer to buy them as I find making them filled with pressure so why oh why did I make this one and the answer is I had just found the embossing folder and pearls and I thought why not lol.

99% Princess Probably

Sometimes an idea just appears and you have to run with it, this card is just that. I found some intricate colouring pages on creative fabrica and thought I wonder if they would work like a background and they absolutely do and I will definitely be doing this again. I wanted this stamp set for the longest time and now there is another variation that I need lol.

Unicorn Wishes

Another of the creative fabrica images but a totally different style of card, I made these in my new craftroom and I enjoyed it so much I couldnt wait to get back in there and make more.

Not sure how I have a room 4 times the size of my original room but I still can not fit everything in lol. I do have all my craft supplies in one place now though, they are no longer scattered throughout the house.

Border Collie Hello

I was searching Creative Fabrica for some backgrounds and I came across  a lot of digital stamps that were too cute to not print and use straight away, in fact i might have printed, coloured and made several different cards lol.

I was unsure of the thicker lines the images had but after seeing them here I think you don't notice the only thing you do notice is how cute the images are.

Blast Off Again

The other versions of the card I made in January, I try to match the images to the recipients and I had a blast making these too lol.

Tried and Tested

A tried and tested design and a stamp I love colouring are a match made in heaven, over the years I have coloured these images in a multitude of different colours and I don’t think I could pick a favourite either, although I am liking the pink and yellow colour scheme.

Beer Glass version 2

A different glass shape and a different sentiment and a new card is born, I did make quite a few of these and now have a stash of ready made guy cards.

This stamp was thankfully able to fit on my normal US A2 card size and I went with a style I’ve used before, I love the look of the spatter and spills. I love supporting UK companies but I do struggle with how large the stamps are sometimes and this set was no exception. Will that stop me buying, of course not but maybe I need to start using up some of my mountain of larger card bases…

 

Metallic Pencils are Fabulous

In a previous post I mentioned I had made more with the B&M pencils and here it is in all its glory, I am not sure why I hadn’t used this MFT set before but I am hoping it’s not long before I use it again.

I also think I need more sentiment stamp sets that cut the words out like a bubble, I am loving being able to stack them to make them more prominent

Monochrome Blender Brushes

If you have seen my previous posts with this design you will have noticed the evolution of the design. This time I went for shades of the same colour and I had to make a purple version for my friend Kathy, There may be more to come as I am obsessed lol.

Funky Fossil

Not my normal style or my normal photography style either but try as I might I couldn’t capture the shine from the colouring unless I laid the card down. 

A while ago I purchased a papercraft society box from craftstash and this was the first time I used it, I really should try and use stuff more lol. I also purchased a set of metallic pencils from B&M for £3 for 12 so I wasn’t expecting miracles but they are stunning, so vibrant and blend like a dream. I might have made more with them already lol. 

 

Mother's Day 2025

You could be forgiven for thinking this was for the US Mother’s Day but in fact it was for the UK one in March I had just forgotten to show it here. The new 7x5 dies made an outing again, very obsessed with them lol. 

I also used one of the lili of the valley digi stamps and thankfully my mum loved it so that’s all that matters really.

Beer Bottles

So my new 7x5 dies arrived and wow they are amazing, I was surprised by how many I got especially as I only paid £5 for them from craftstash…I will definitely miss that store.

Apart from the new dies and using black instead of brown card panels these cards are the same as the previous one I made. I’m not sure if I like the brown bottles or the green more.
