Cocktail Time

I made this at the same time as the margarita card and this one is much more colourful and I could actually drink this if I knew what made up a "sex on the beach" cocktail lol.

I was drawn the colours and hopefully my colouring represents a real life cocktail. I can not believe I have stuck to my two cards one sitting that I started last year, in fact now if I don't have two similar cards I just use the same papers, card or copics but I still try to make it fit lol.

Margarita Time

I had an idea for a card and I decided to just go for it, I already had the spotlight sentiment in my misti so I stamped a few extra panels and created a few cocktail cards. Is it weird that all I want to do is drink a margarita and sit by a pool in the sun lol.

The card itself came together really easily and I think I might just have to make more of these.

Mod Mae

So here is the other Some Odd Girl card I made, I again made the image larger and she was also a blast to colour.

I am still surprised how many cards I have made recently and how much it has relieved my stress levels. I am sure I am not alone in feeling stressed at the moment ( i wrote this in April) and I am hoping by the time this publishes that the world has started to heal.

Geeky Mae

I had rediscovered my digi stamps during lockdown when lots of companies were releasing new sets and as I was already at my computer I decided to print a few more and although I only own a few Some Odd Girl I have used this image a few times. I especially like to make these images larger as I think they have more impact on a card.

Its a fairly simple design but it was a blast to colour and I even decided to make another very similar one so expect to see that soon

Craft Notes Wreath Builder

So I saw these stamps being used by Jennifer McGuire and I had to get them, however I didn't order the dies and now I wish I had done.

I was hoping to purchase the wreath builder stencil at the same time but it was out of stock so my friend Kathleen kindly made one for me using square dies and it worked a treat.

I made two of each design and of course had to go rainbow colouring.

Love me a Latte

Oh my goodness I made this card way back in January and had forgotten to show it on here,  I made this card for a fellow crafter and coffee aficionado, of course you can only use coffee stain stencils on a crafters card as otherwise people think you ruined it and used it anyway lol.

Sentiment: Crafters companion

Card: kraft from recollections at Michaels, using stencil from Tim Holtz and vintage photo distress oxide inks

Say it with Flowers

Another playday lady asked for a card for her Mum's 90th birthday, I went eclipse again....I just don't seem to be able to stop making this style of card lol.

I also used a clearly besotted flower set that I hadn't used before, I really thought that I had used all the ones I own but apparently not lol. I have an 80 card needed shortly and i am wondering if I should recreate this as its so lovely and bright.

Birthday Fishes

I think the expression "once you pop you can't stop" is very true, now I know it was for a can of pringles but it also applies to the eclipse big birthday style of card I am on a roll with.

I am so sad that this digistamp company no longer exists, I miss the quirky style and although I own a lot and I mean a lot of them I always looked forward to the new releases.

Nothing else to say really except that I have enjoyed getting organised and making all the big birthday cards in one go, maybe this should be something I do every year.

Making Cards Lovely Ladies 4

Now this is the fourth or fifth card you will have seen using these images, however this was the first image from this making cards free set that I coloured and I even followed one of the layouts from the magazine too. It was quick and easy to make and exactly what I needed when my mojo was missing. It really helped to kick start my mojo too and since I made this I’ve been on a roll.

I am not sure if being in lockdown has helped my mojo as one of the only things that seemed to keep me sane was colouring and making cards, oh and walking around my garden. I seem to have flattened my astroturf though lol.

Monster Pink Birthday

Day three of the 30 day challenge and I decided that I needed to colour the final monster from this set. I didn't originally plan to colour this pink but the final background using the faceted stencil was on my desk and it sort of just happened lol.

I used the same layout as on the previous card as it was all on my desk and I kind of like how these cards turned out. I hope as this blogpost is written in April that I have used the stencil a bunch more times lol

Monster Birthday

The second background made with the stencil and the one I thought would be my favourite but isn't lol. I think my favourite is the liac, pink and grey one. Which is weird as they aren't my go to colours.

I have almost used all the monsters in this set now and he was coloured during the last 30 day colouring challenge, this image was day two and i am pleased he has made it onto a card already.  The blueprint die was already out and I was going to do a circle but the sentiment was too big for it and I think I prefer this layout.

Pup Treats

I really wish I had used this stencil before now, it works so amazingly and it was so much fun, in fact I made three backgrounds in one sitting and I have made them all into cards too. I know I am as shocked as you are lol.

Of course this image has been sat and coloured since I bought the set from Stampfest two years ago but I am finally getting around to using it, of course I also bought a few other sets that have yet to see ink so maybe I should use them soon.
