Alex Syberia Magazine Freebie

As soon as I saw this magazine I knew it was coming home with me and much to my surprise I used it immediately.... I had also just received this spellbinders plaster Simon Hurley embossing folder and it seemed a perfect match to me.

Eclipse saves the day

I do think the eclipse technique is amazing and even after all the cards I’ve made with it I still love making them. Seeing peoples reaction when they spot it is worth all the work.

I was searching for a lovely large floral when this magazine arrived, I really love the Uk magazines for the gifts included. Sometimes they help kick start the old mojo.

More Gnomes

After I used the free gnomes from Creative Stamping I bought the full set from Crafters Companion, I really love the way these ones are drawn and they are a decent size too. I had a few snowglobe backgrounds left over so rather than waste them I used them for these cards.

I hope you are all ready for the big day, I have delivered all my cards and presents and am just waiting for the turkey to arrive and I am done.

Yeti in a snowglobe

I got this idea after buying the simply cards and papercraft magazine. I did cut the snowflake part out of the snowglobe but I had a blast using it.

I couldn't work out how to show the bottom of the globe so I drew around the whole thing, later on I realised that a bit of shaded lilac would be better but these cards were already made and posted.

By now I hope they have reached their recipients.

Cheers to Beers

I got the idea for this card from one I saw on instragram but I can’t remember who made it ( if you know please send me a message so I can give credit)

Of course this is inspired by not a copy because I didn’t have any of the items she used. The beer bottle was from a magazine freebie months ago and the cheers die is an old Mft one.

I did enjoy making this card and it is one I will definitely be having another go at in the future

After I had finished the last set of cards I decided to be organised and start writing them out which was when I decided I needed more of this design, I’ve used three new inks for these and I like them a lot but the mint is still my favourite lol.

Altenew Roses

Once again the UK magazines have out done themselves, the March issue of "simply cards and paper craft" contained an altenew build a rose die set, three layers for the rose and two for the leaves. I couldn't wait to create with it and I wasn't disappointed either. It cut like a dream and when assembled was even more effective than I expected.

My only difficulty was deciding on how to assemble the card, in the end I went back to a style I have used before and will probably use again lol.

Best Wishes

I have been umming and ahhing over the Zig clean colour brush markers and I asked my friend Jane to bring them to bristol payday so I could see if I needed/wanted them.

I had this magazine and free stamp with me so I decided to try this first, I picked my colours and started, my oh my they blend like butter. I didn't use any water with them only the pens themselves and they are so bright and vibrant, I might have convinced two other ladies they needed them as well lol.
