The perfect combo again

So I had the supplies out so why not make two cards the same but slightly different, when I showed my hubby he asked me to make one for a friend of his, high praise indeed lol.

Sometimes you see a stamp set and you just have to have it, this happens to me a lot so I often wonder why it takes me ages to use it, this was this stamp set and it took this stencil from spellbinders to make me actually stamp it and use it. Of course now I’m left wondering why I didn’t use it sooner and of course I want to make more lol

Crafty Tools

This spellbinders die set is so cool, I really liked making this design, I want to make lots of washi tapes although until I typed this i hadn't even thought of normal tape lol. The scissors look so real I tried to cut with them lol

Pink Cozy toes

I was running out of cards to share so I thought I would split off the pink one and save it for today. I hope you are all ready, I am finally. The turkey and all the food is in the fridge and I am sat watching Arthur Christmas with a huge hot chocolate, so the only thing left to say is I hope you all get lots of presents, lovely food and quality family time.

Cozy Toes

Another die I bought last year and have only just used, of course now they have released a birthday version which I have to have lol.

 

Mum Birthday

I try and make something different for my Mum's birthday but this time I went with a technique I tried years ago, I don't think I was as successful as I was before and I totally forgot to colour the bottom image but I did enjoy making it and of course the cats look like hers lol.

 

Charming Again

As promised here is the second of the charm bracelets and this time I used a new to me embossing folder from Spellbinders for the background and I can see me using this a lot, I have been really impressed by the size of the spellbinders embossing folders, as you could make 7x5 cards using them too which makes them more useful.

Alex Syberia Magazine Freebie

As soon as I saw this magazine I knew it was coming home with me and much to my surprise I used it immediately.... I had also just received this spellbinders plaster Simon Hurley embossing folder and it seemed a perfect match to me. 

Tried and Tested

A tried and tested design and a stamp I love colouring are a match made in heaven, over the years I have coloured these images in a multitude of different colours and I don’t think I could pick a favourite either, although I am liking the pink and yellow colour scheme.

Limited Supplies = lots of fun

This card shows what you can do with limited supplies and still make something. I was recently on holiday and I took a very small crafting kit with me, some printed images, crayola pencils, b&m sketch markers and a set of skin and hair colours from amazon and a few sheets of card. Of course I took a die cutter with me and I might have bought some Dies but still for me it was a small kit lol.

I really liked the amazon pens, the colour choices are great and I used them a lot, the b&m ones are juicier and the colours don’t necessarily go but I made them work and I had fun which is the most important bit. 

Little Girl First Birthday

Last year there were only two babies born amongst my family and friends and within a week of each other too. This year it is looking like there won’t be any at all!! 

I used a lot and I mean a lot of crystal glaze on the balloons and they are super shiny in real life.

Spellbinders Big Birthday

When this die set was released I wanted it so badly but it was expensive and difficult to get hold of in the UK. So imagine my surprise during my last Florida vacation to find it in Hobby Lobby and reduced to $7 to boot, it would have been wrong to leave it there at that price. 

It is a huge die and needed my ebosser to be able to cut it but I’m very happy with the results.

Controllers version 1

This was the first time in years I have made anything with this die set from MFT. I was going to recreate my previous card but I remembered they are all wireless now lol.

I am so glad I didn’t sell this set as it’s so perfect for guy/kids cards.

Birdhouse Christmas

When I was in florida in September I was able to place a few online orders and pick up a few hobby lobby bargains too. This entire card except the embossing powder contains items from that one trip. My Pink and Main order contained the stamp and die set as a freebie, I was blown away by the set and probably would have bought it which is always nice. 

Of course I have used the notched die and also the kraft card, am i obsessed, I will let you be the judge of that lol.

Originally both the houses and birds were the same colour but I decided to overstamp them with versafine clair but one had moved slightly so it went blurry so I had to start again and this time I decided to reverse the colours, not sure which I prefer now.

Not many days left until the man in the red suit arrives, am I organised I hear you ask....of course not lol.

1st day at a New school

I haven't made one of this style of card or this subject for a while, I made one of these for this little ones big sister and I was reminded by their mum that I don't treat them differently so I needed to make her one too. Apparently they regularly look through the cards I have sent to them and compare.... so of course I now need to make mental notes for future reference lol.

I was going to use the same image as last time but I discovered a new digital stamp company on etsy called"zekesami" and this image matched her personality to a tee, I can see myself going back and getting more of the images as they are super cute and easy to colour too.

Exam Congrats

I bought this turnabout set on my last visit to Florida and I love it, the colours are the persons favourites and they all coordinate really well and because they are oxides they stamp lovely too.

I might even stamp a few more to have on hand when I need to say congratulations or send someone a bit of encouragement.

Good ship lollipop

Oh my I made this card so long ago I have forgotten what I used but I do know it’s a Mo Manning digi and the little one thought it was her as it had her curly hair. I do love that about these images there is so much variety that you can always find one that looks like the recipient.

Probably why I own so many of them lol. 

The Year of First Birthdays Version 4

This image is only a dollar from Mo Manning and what a bargain and it’s totally adorable too. I think it’s my favourite of the 1st birthday boy cards, not sure if it’s the image or the papers or the combo of the two that appeals to me so much.

I kind of followed the sketch I always use even if the image is different, this might be my new favourite design for next years cards but I am not going to try making them yet lol.

The Year of First Birthdays Version 3

My usual style of 1st birthday card and using my usual image too. I had to make a lot of boy 1st birthday cards this year and next year is going to be the same. The boys have overtaken the girls for the first time in years.

As this little one is the first baby and my cousins first grandchild I could go with my tried and tested design but the next one I had to change up a little.

Not My Usual Stamps Version 3

Another of the Lol surprise dolls and I think my favourite of the bunch. 

I tried a bit of a different thing with the number background stamp from Mft, every time I saw the number 8 I coloured it with my gel pen, that way even when the sequins are at the bottom there is still something to look at.

The dolls are lovely to colour and the eyes are the secret I think, they really look like they are watching you.
