Another Deb Hallett inspired card and I must admit I am loving using square cards again, I have so many in my stash and they deserve some love too.

Snoopy number 1

I was inspired by “Deb Hallett” on YouTube who makes the loveliest cards, she leaves a lot of white space and uses black as the accent and I am sure you agree it’s very effective. I had to have this magazine set and I might have used quite a few and they will all be variations on a theme, that seems to be my style at the moment lol.

Baby's First Christmas

Its been a while since I made a first christmas card and I went with a design I made way back in 2017, I found the stamp whilst looking for something else and couldn't resist recreating the card. I even used the same colours of card stock.

Big Birthday 2025

This year there aren’t very many big birthdays well not as many as last year anyway, I was going to do a shaped card but the eclipse won. 

I have been on a real colouring kick lately and I’ve been enjoying it a lot too. 

I can’t believe I started making cards the year this young man was born, I think I’ve made him a card for most of his birthdays, at the start of my card making journey I didn’t make to give just for the pleasure of making and it took a while to discover copics and colouring and then I wanted to make cards for all my family and friends.

On the Farm

It’s almost Mother’s Day and I am just posting my mums birthday card from December, I wanted the image to stand out but I also wanted a background too, I went with one from creative fabrica and it worked a treat, I need to remember to do this more often as it really makes the coloured image pop.

Blue Moon

Now you could be forgiven for thinking I made this at the same time as the last card but no, I made this for an October birthday hence why it is more complicated lol. Not sure which one I prefer and the sunset one is definitely quicker so maybe I should make a few and have them ready, I know my jokes keep getting funnier lol.

Another Chapter Begins

Someone please explain to me how my neighbours little boy who was born yesterday is going to school!! He was born just before the first Covid lockdown, which meant he didn’t really see anyone except his parents and us over the garden fence. He’s a sociable little lad though and is such a pleasure to be around, hearing him shout my name over the fence asking me to play will never get old.

So naturally I had to make him a card for his first day at school, he of course loved school and couldn’t wait to go back.

Big Birthday Number 8

Another eclipse and another Angie Blom digi image, I was very pleased with the colouring on this image, I think it’s the cake if I’m honest, makes me want to lick the card lol. Not much else to say except I can’t believe this card was for May and I was on number 8 already.

Squish Hugs

I saw a similar design on the MFt blog so I thought why not replicate it but make it the same but different. My first attempt didn't go well as I coloured the plush animals as though they were real and that made the whole thing a bit dark and not at all what I was going for so I stamped them again and had another go, it was more difficult than I care to admit to make them pink and blue lol.

I can definitely see me using this design again maybe even with the other animals in the set too.

Big Birthday Number 6

Another big birthday, another eclipse, I promise the next one will be something different lol. I went with a design I’ve made before but not as an eclipse. I also used one of the papertrey ink card stock colours called “honey nut” and it’s perfect for a masculine card. I think the number background stamp is also one of my most used too, I love the subtle interest it adds to the background.

Big Birthday 2023

Now you might be thinking this is one of the 2024 big birthdays but you would be wrong lol. I lost or so I thought all the pictures I took on my camera late in 2023 but I tried today and they were all there so I will be posting them here soon. I might not post the Christmas ones but I will with the others.

Big Birthday Number 5

This eclipse was made on my cricut using a digital stamp. It took a few attempts and the intervention of my hubbie but we finally made it work and I will be making more of these now I understand how to do it lol.

Little Girl First Birthday

Last year there were only two babies born amongst my family and friends and within a week of each other too. This year it is looking like there won’t be any at all!! 

I used a lot and I mean a lot of crystal glaze on the balloons and they are super shiny in real life.

Mothers Day Uk

I watched a Jennifer McGuire video and she created this type of card and I had a lightbulb moment and thought that would work with the honey bee set I bought last year. 

Now I don't buy the matching dies very often if at all but this set made apertures so I bought them. Of course the aperture was too big for this card so I ended up with a circle (which i now wish was smaller lol). The whole thing was going swimmingly until in my wisdom I decided that as I had the matching die I would cut several layers and use it behind each set of flowers doh!!!! of course now they don't bend so the card doesn't work as well but I am still pleased with it.

Dolly Daydream

Being able to scale a digital stamp is what makes them the most versatile to me, my mum like large cards and all my stamps are sized for us a2 or Uk a6 so digital stamps are my go to for her cards, plus if I use digital paper too I can paper piece and scale that too.

It’s a fairly simple card and she liked it a lot which to me is the most important bit. 

Nadolig Llawen

Last but one christmas card for 2022, I always feel sad at this point because I want to carry on making them but my room is packed away and clean and I don't want to mess it up again and of course the January birthdays start in a few days so I will be back at it. 

Its a Unicorn kind of Day

Not a usual christmas colour scheme but I do like the pale purple. This wasn't the card I set out to make today but its the one I ended up with. 

The one I was intending making was a flat shaker and also had an aperture window with a peekaboo penguin but it went decidedly sideways so I started again and this was the result.

I can't believe that I still have more cards to show and have run out of days, at the beginning of the month I thought I would struggle as I mostly batch made but there have been more colour combos and designs than I realised, have I made a dent in my stash....of course not lol.

1st day at a New school

I haven't made one of this style of card or this subject for a while, I made one of these for this little ones big sister and I was reminded by their mum that I don't treat them differently so I needed to make her one too. Apparently they regularly look through the cards I have sent to them and compare.... so of course I now need to make mental notes for future reference lol.

I was going to use the same image as last time but I discovered a new digital stamp company on etsy called"zekesami" and this image matched her personality to a tee, I can see myself going back and getting more of the images as they are super cute and easy to colour too.

Driving by

I am just about to make the 3rd birthday card for this young man when I realised I hadn’t shown his 2nd birthday one lol.

Another tried and tested design and again one I will recreate as I love this image. Sometimes an image is just too perfect and this is that image lol.

The Year of First Birthdays Version 4

This image is only a dollar from Mo Manning and what a bargain and it’s totally adorable too. I think it’s my favourite of the 1st birthday boy cards, not sure if it’s the image or the papers or the combo of the two that appeals to me so much.

I kind of followed the sketch I always use even if the image is different, this might be my new favourite design for next years cards but I am not going to try making them yet lol.
