Merry Christmas Mum

I have delivered this card now so it is safe to show on here. I made this card for my mum and used the paper piecing/tolling technique again and I think this version is a bit better as I used the template on Mariska's blog to show me which bits to cut. Mariska has recently started showing the bits all coloured ready to assemble and she takes the hard work out of trying to guess which bits go where. I haven't followed exactly but close enough. This looks very time consuming but actually it is very therapeautic not something I will be doing on every card but I will be practising again.

Wow, a stunning card Amanda. This paper tolling has me a bit confused. I can see how paper piecing works 'cos you use ready coloured papers - but the tolling looks so tricky. Fabulous result though. Clever little sausage!! Have a super day, hugs, Di xx

Ha, ha - Kay was right - I clicked on the link earlier too and ended up back at meself. But, as am chasing my tail here anyhow I thought it was just a blip. How very clever that tolling is. You do have such patience. Hugs, Di xx

Hi Amanda

What a gorgeous card for your Mum .. .. I bet it has pride of place!!

Love your image and paper choices.

I had never heard of paper tolling before .. .. what a fabby technique. Quite fiddly on an image the size of yours but you have managed it perfectly. Ideal for those pesky snippets!!!

Love Jules xx
