Ok so now I am showing my age but I loved that song lol. I saw this image on the Doodle Pantry blog and knew it would be perfect for my cousin who plays ice hockey, only problem was his birthday was in January, so I wondered do I buy it now or wait, in the end I decided to buy it now and make his card ready for next January, now before you all think wow she is organised I will let you into a little secret, I will probably not be able to find this next January and will end up making a different card and then finding it a few days later but never mind I enjoyed it anyway lol.
So it is very red and grey and reminds me of a 1980 boy bedroom, all it is missing is the diagonal stripes. (confession time, hubbie had a bedroom decorated like that with a red radiator no less lol) oh how times have changed.... I looked up the colour of a hockey puck and stick and they were both grey and originally I was going to colour the ant's in brown just like we have in the garden but that looked a bit weird so red they are, now they remind me of the fire ants that always bite my hubbie (also called Ant lol) when we visit Florida.

Wonderful card Amanda! Your coloring matches the background paper perfectly. Just a fun layout. Thanks for joining us for the Doodle Pantry challenge!

Awesome card and love the bg paper - I know nothing about hockey but this card is so cool for a boy card, great job and thanks for joining us at DPDC this month.
Fabulous coloring and color scheme. Great birthday card. Thanks so much for joining us for this month's Doodle Pantry Digi Challenge!
This is adorable, Amanda! Just perfect for him in every way, right down to the red ants of Florida! (I see the need to put a shoe box into action as a place to store your "to be sent" cards, with index dividers by the month. Maybe then you won't forget? It's too fab to forget!!)
Loved the colours back in the 80's and 90's too... and love them on this card. :)
Bubbles,

Great job and love your little story about it being after the birthday and you will be ready for next January!
This is really cute!! I love these ants!
Your story made me laugh... I'd probably make it now and be unable to find it next Jan, too!

Ah the 80's . . . how wonderful they were. Grey, black and red or pink and grey . . . those were the days! Sighing happily here!
I've gone all boring and neutral now! Grrrr! What happened?
Oh . . . and your card . . . DIVINE!
Hugs
