My BIL has a nickname and it happens to be sloth so I have wanted a sloth set for his card for a while. I was going to get the MFT one but when I saw this set from Clearly Besotted I knew it was perfect. I have used a card by Michelle as my inspiration and I like the clean, simple elegance of it.

Every January and July there is a small show at Newbury Racecourse and I try to attend. I mostly spent my money at Stampasaurus but as they weren't there this time that changed to Little Claire Designs. I bought six of the dinkie stamps and although that is what this is classed as it it far from dinky lol.
I made this card for the same friend who had the operation, I wanted her to know I was still thinking of her and also needed something to go with the chocolates lol.
Its a simple card but I hope she liked it and at the end of the day that is what matters most to me that the recipient knows they were thought of.

I have used one of the new mini sets by Mama Elephant that they did for Joann, now I didn't find this set nor any of them at an actual Joann but I did at Micheals, Local craft shops and online lol. I thought they would be easy to get hold of......ummm.....nope lol.
I can see why though you get stamps and dies for an amazing price and although the stamps aren't the same quality as normal Mama Elephant they stamp lovely and they compliment the sets already out, I thought originally that they were the same images but they aren't so now I need the other sets as well.... when will it ever end.....
Its a very simple card as it was just after my return and I wanted to make something but had no idea what so I went with quick and simple. The embossing folder I bought at Joann and it was my Hubbie's idea to get it to go with the puppies. Its a lovely folder and I had forgotten just how much embossing adds to the card, I tend to not reach for the folders often maybe that should change.
OMG another novel, I promise the next post will contain less ramblings lol.

Its been way too long since my last post and although there is a reason its not a very good one. After I've been to Florida on holiday I always seem to loose my mojo, I'm not sure if its because I don't craft whilst I'm there or its the amount of stuff I buy that overwhelms me on my return. I know this sounds like a moan but it really isn't, its an observation, I could craft whilst I'm there or even buy less stuff but I can't see either happening anytime soon lol.
Anyway enough of the rambling onto the card, I made this for a dear friend who had to have an operation and I wanted her to know I was thinking of her. I used one of the sets I got from MFT at the store, I went a little mad and bought loads but I do love my MFT. I will have to try get a video of the store on my next visit, it truly is a wonderful place and the people couldn't be nicer.
Gosh sorry I seem to have written a bit of a novel, so I will leave you with the details of the card and hopefully I will be back shortly with more to show you.

When I made this card "April" the giraffe had just given birth so giraffes were everywhere lol. I was inspired and decided to grab an unused older Pure Innocence stamp. I do enjoy colouring these images and I do have a lot of them, mostly unused which I know I should change.
Once I found the paper the card came together really quickly and this blueprint is awesome lol. I have scheduled this post as I didn't want the recipient to see it until after their birthday so I might have used this layout multiple time, maybe I need to go back and look lol.

Another first birthday card for a little girl, this one though has no pink anywhere in sight lol. I found it quite hard to make a girl card without pink, I had no idea it was my go to colour.
I actually enjoyed making this card in different colours, maybe I need to change it up more often. I used the same layout I've been using on all this the of card so nothing to report that is different, except I am addicted to the mft basic and scalloped edges lol.

This is my go to Baby Girl card at the moment, I don't believe in reinventing the wheel if you don't need to. I am from a very large family and there seem to be lots of new additions lately and lots of cards to make to celebrate.
Not much else to say except welcome to the family lol.
