Clarice Cliff Crocus Jug

As soon as I saw this stamp I knew it reminded me of Clarice Cliff pottery and I also knew the perfect recipient too. I needed a quick card so used the already coloured version of this Just Inklined digi stamp, this was on the "Next Big Thing" CD Rom I bought last year and that cd has been worth it's wait in gold. Such amazing value I have been thinking about the new ones too.

I used the left over cardstock from the Wedding card I needed in December. I have been trying hard to get organised and make the cards I need well in advance but at the moment that seems impossible. First I think I need to clean my craft room as the card was still sitting on my desk over a week after I made the wedding card.

Edited: Thank you everyone for the lovely comments I really wish I had coloured this but it was done already on the CD

Miss the Milk being Delivered

and this is why, I know I am showing my age when I can not only remember the milk being delivered and being able to get the top of the milk or the cream for my cornflakes in the morning if I was first up and dressed. Used to hate the mornings that anyone else got there before me and I think it is the reason I am a morning person now too.

I used this image from the Just Inklined the Next Big Thing Cd for this card and went with a more traditional colour scheme and style. I used the snippets of red card left from the various cards I have been making recently and some left over paper too.

Papers: "yuletide" Raspberry Road Designs
Cardstock: "Real Red" Stampin up (no full sheets left ahhh)

Poppy Fields

I have been making CAS cards again, now I expect for some these are quicker than the other type to make but for me cos they are so cas and show every error they take a whole lot longer. I have used a ready coloured image from the "The Next Big Thing" cd by Just Inklined, I printed the first one direct onto the card base then printed a few more and cut and decoupaged them. I really enjoyed making this card and I hope the recipient likes it too. I know they like poppies as they have pictures everywhere.

Just like buses

No snippets makes for ages then two in a week lol. Again no full sheets were harmed in the making of this card. In fact I printed the image when I first bought the Next Big Thing CD and only found it when clearing out the snippet box. Such an easy card too the backing papers were already cut to the right size as they were the off cuts from the leaving card I made a while ago, I used my new mft dies to cut the chevrons just to add a bit extra. I love these dies and will be buying more next time I am in Florida.

Am I alone in this but I have had my cuttlebug for about four years and have never used it to cut dies only emboss so the first time I used my new mft dies they left marks in the plates and I was horrified lol. So I could just buy new plates but I decided to look for a solution, my cuttlebug lives on a shelf and has to be lifted down to be used hence the reason I don't emboss much and I have been using the dies a lot so knew the shelf wasn't ideal. After some head scratching as there is little room on my desk I spotted the cuttlekid machine I bought for my friend's little girl a few years ago, I tried the dies and they work perfectly, no more messing around trying to find the right plate combo, two plates and away to go, the dies fit the plates perfectly and they are much cheaper to replace than the cuttlebug plates. When I bought the cuttlekid I paid $9.99 in Florida and it traveled all the way home with me to discover that my friend had bought one already so it had been sitting in my cupboard ever since but no more, it fits on my desk and works perfectly.

Fishing for Compliments

Not for the card I might add, I have a few fishing fanatics in my family and I tend to buy every image I see with something fishy on it. This one was on the "The Next Big Thing " CD and I didn't even need to search. Coloured with my copics and a few bits of glossy accents and it was finished. I bought a few packs of kraft paper (90gsm) from paperchase and this is the first time I have tried printing on it, the colours are duller than if printed on white but it gives it a lovely vintage feel, even used it for the insert.

Ingredients
Image: Fishing Bait " The Next Big Thing" Cd
Papers: Air Force Blue Chevron " Pink Petticoat" printed onto paperchase kraft paper
Embossing: Herringbone Cuttlebug Folder
Embellishment: Fish button from stash.
Cardstock: Papermill

My Favourite Flower

I think everyone has a favourite flower and although I don't like cut flowers...I know I am strange... I do love hydrangeas. Blue is my favourite but I still love all the variations too. I had lots of cards to make for birthdays in April but got distracted by this lovely flower on the "the next big thing" cd. It came as a digi stamp and pre-coloured and I have used the pre-coloured version here. This is a very CAS card for me as I wanted the flower to really stand out but I do like the finished article and so easy to put together. I decoupaged the flower to give it some dimension and a bit of ribbon and voila all done.

Cardstock: Walmart (love these pads 30-50 sheets of 12x12 textured card for $5)
