Burgers Again

I really like making guy/kid cards but for this one I was completely stumped. I've made lots of cute burger cards but wanted a slightly more realistic/older look for this one and hopefully this one fits the bill.

I stamped and masked all he food and then stamped the ketchup splotches in "wild cherry" mft hybrid ink. This was a last minute idea and one I really like.

Melvin the Mod

The March edition of Making cards magazine had a code for 50% off at Doctor-Digi on the three images featured in the magazine. Of course I bought all three and even followed loosely one of the cards they made. I kind of wish I had printed melvin slightly smaller but I still think he works.

Also for the first time in forever I used tiny snippets on this card, the red paper and the numbers were both cut from tiny scraps in my snippet drawer, I'm going to enter the snippet playground and hope that I remember how to use the swings lol.

Slippers

I made cards almost identical to these about three years ago, sometimes if it ain't broke don't fix it lol.

I have been sorting out all my coloured images into piles ready to make into cards. I always tend to colour more than I need and end up with lots that never make it onto cards. My friend made a folder for the 30 day colouring challenges where she put the image and the corresponding patterned papers and when she needed a card she reaches for these coloured images first. Now I am nowhere near as organised but I am hoping to be before the next challenge

Silhouette Card Revisited

So I really enjoyed making the silhouette cards recently and whilst looking through pinterest I saw this stepped up and made even better. I am not sure which person made the cards but I thought they were stunning, of course I have none of the supplies they used but I have a lot of other stuff in my craft room.

I needed a sympathy card, definitely not my favourite type to make and always unfortunately needed. I did make a few to have on hand as this is the one type of card you can't always make when you need to.

Fabulous Red Shoes

This is the second of the shoe cards, this magazine was a joy and they keep getting better and better, by now there have been a few more and I hope they were even better than this one lol.

I am so glad I brought my Prisma pencils home with me, they are a lovely medium and I am shocked that I reached for them rather than my copics but pleased I did.

Stamping Bella Acting Goofy

This idea was in my head as soon as I saw the release from Stamping Bella, it took a while to be able to source all three sets though so it took much longer to make than I anticipated. I am happy with it though and I think it represents my friend and me to a tee lol.

Not much to say about the card, originally it was going on a plain white background but it looked too plain so I busted out the chevron paper pack and I am more happy.  I might need to buy another pack though as I have used both of the greens now lol.

Peacock Feathers

This image is so much fun, it makes me want to sing "shake your tail feathers" lol. I have to say I prefer the newer size of the Clearly Besotted images, I know you don't get as many as before but they fill a card better and are easier to colour.

Creative Stamping 52

When I was making the "rocking doggie" card I stamped a second background, actually I stamped this one first but the notes were upside down lol and it wouldn't work with the image I had picked out so I went with a different look. I also tried different colours and I think I prefer this colour combo.

Once I had decided on the image and sentiment the card came together really quickly, sometimes a card almost seems to make itself and this sort of happened here.

I am trying to use up all the backgrounds and/or images I colour, it is going to be a long process and might make my blog a little boring too as I seem to make the same card style a lot recently. Does anyone else get stuck in a creative rut like this? Surely I can't be alone? Can I?

Ingredients

Background: "music" from kaisercraft, "twisted citroen" and "peacock feathers" Distress oxide ink

Beary Special Bears Again

So this card was made with left over bits from several other projects, the bear was coloured as part of a challenge from last year, the MOD rectangle was because I picked up the wrong size for an image and the background was because I was trying to find the right colour combo. All these things were sitting on my desk so I thought they might as well combine and make a card. I am so surprised that it all matched and worked perfectly almost like it was meant to happen lol.

I do really need to try to use up some of the hundreds of coloured images and failed backgrounds I have, I would like to challenge myself but I don't think that will last very long lol.

Ingredients
Image: "Beary Special Birthday" MFT
