Wine Shaker 2

This is the second wine shaker card and I think my favourite of the two, all the info is the same as the previous card but I did change up the sequins a bit and of course add a few more. I do find it hard to judge how many is enough for a good shake but not too many so that it doesn't move at all, as they say practice, practice, practice lol.

Ingredients
Dies: wine shaker and large cheers both MFT
Paper: "black and white" from MFT,  "chalkboard" from We R memory keepers , glitter paper from Paperchase
Sequins - Rose gold, marshmallow and sparkling clear from Pretty Pink Posh

Wine Shaker Card

I have had this card in my head ever since I first bought the wine shaker dies and pouches, of course it has taken ages to actually be made but still I have actually made it lol.

I made two same but slightly different cards in one sitting, I have been trying that if I think the recipients will like them but its not always quicker lol.

I eventually made this card because I picked up an unwanted paper pad at playday and this paper was just perfect for the idea in my head, I love that one persons trash becomes anothers treasure and this was certainly the case this time, so thank you Sher.

Waste not want not

Ok so this card is a definite change from my usual, I know when I have used a non cute image I have said the same but this is about as far from my comfort zone as I get lol. I bought the new papermania bottle cap 6 x 6 stamp and decided to try the emboss resist technique, so I embossed in white first, then realised that I am useless with inks so thought how can I achieve a similar look and looked up and my new shiny used once airbrush was staring at me, so I sprayed the card stock with my copics, it doesn't wipe off the embossing but I think that adds to the charm and makes it more distressed. I showed my handiwork to hubbie and expected the usual, oh thats nice when he said wow I love that look, well you could have knocked me down with a feather. He then came into my craftroom...unheard of ....and said what are you doing with that bit of card, I said its waste from where I cut some fishtail dies and he said that would look great over the top, so that is exactly where it ended up.

I have never made a card with my hubbie before, he has helped occasionally when equipment needs his IT skills or to save it being thrown through a window but he has never spent time in here with me making a card. He chose all the other elements and after embossing the blue card he told me to buy myself some more powder and that bag thingy as I seemed to be enjoying embossing so much. The bottle top is part of the stamp coloured with the same copics as I airbrushed with with glossy accents in the middle, much cheaper than the ones in the shop.

Robot Balloon Boy

As soon as I saw this image I fell in love, I love robots especially cute one and this one is pretty cute. I wanted to make matching backing paper so I changed the colour of the image and randomly placed on a square and printed onto paperchase kraft paper. I wish I had added more robots now as it does look pretty uniform but I still like the look. I wanted a cas card so I added two chevrons cut with MFT dies and using stampin up cardstock. I think it still needs something else but will add that once I know who is going to be the lucky recipient.

Ingredients:
Image: Birdie Brown
Papers: Paperchase kraft card printed with robot by birdie brown
Cardstock: Real Red and Pacific Blue by Stampin up
Sentiment: Pollycraft
