If you have followed my blog for any time you will know I have many, many obsessions but the longest lasting one is chocolate. I can’t pass up a stamp with chocolate on it so it won’t surprise you that I wanted this set lol.
I looks almost good enough to eat, but I know Tim Holtz says don’t lick the art work but I wish I had chocolate smelling embossing powder…I do think that would drive me insane but if someone wants to make some I know a buyer lol.
The second card very similar to the other old books card but I changed the image and sentiment. I try to match the hair/skin to whoever the card is for.
As soon as I saw this image I knew I needed it. I also had an inspired idea for the background. Part of me wishes I hadn’t stencilled it red and yellow but at least it’s bright lol. I had to search for a background city image and found this one from Kenny K, miss his unique designs so much. I might have also made a few more cards and bought all the superhero sets lol.
At the time of writing this blog entry this was the final one but of course who knows how many more have been made since lol.
It’s such an effective design that I want to make lots and lots of…oh no another obsession lol
I really love this design and want to break out all my clearly besotted sets and make more. Simple clean designs are so effective.
I may have used all the different critters and made another one lol.
Sometimes you see a design from a companies blog and it sparks an idea and this card is proof of that. Anyone following my blog for longer than a hot minute will know of my love for MFT and clearly besotted so can you imagine my surprise when I saw that Jen from clearly besotted was going to be designing for MFT. I had to buy the first set I saw and the samples from the design team were stunning. One of the designers had created this look, including the background but the image is the focal point and I loved it.
It was so easy to recreate too and now I want to try it with lots of my other Clearly Besotted sets.
I have a crafty friend who is obsessed with this character so when I saw her in digi form on the Greeting farm I had to buy her. Lately I have been using stuff as soon as I buy it and this was no exception. I wanted a stained glass window background and this mandala stencil fitted the bill perfectly.
Quite a few years ago Heffy Doodle did a Kickstarter campaign and I backed them, this character was from the stamp set I received as a thank you and I coloured him straight away but it took years for him to make it onto a card. I was cleaning my craftroom and I came across this already completed background and I thought I have the perfect image for that and bish bash bosh another one is done. Plus two things are out of the stuffed to the gills room lol.
This is a different style for me and one that kind of evolved along the way. I wanted to use a word background stamp from photo play that I bought at the infamous scrapbook expo but it looked lost on its own so I thought give it some splatter and this is the result, of course it’s not real splatter but stencilled on but it works.
The second card and with this one instead of drawing I used mostly stencils and masking tape. The line of bananas brought back very fond memories for me lol.
There are still a few images from this set I haven’t used and seeing them on here is inspiring me to get the stamp set back out lol.
