Big Six Version 2

Normally its a while before you see the boy version of the big six and granted it is a while since the first version was shown but I tend to wait until after their birthdays in case they see the cards on my blog. I did ask for this version of the printable to be made available as I knew it would be perfect for a games loving boy, I might have made more versions too lol,

Gamer Ian

If you thought this looked like the big six version 1 you would be correct, I made a batch of them all at the same time and I thought this would be perfect for those teenage gamer boys

The Big Six Version 1

I loved this image as soon as I saw it and I might have persuaded the owner of the Greeting Farm to make the boy one available too lol. I had so much fun colouring this that the design of the card ended up being fairly simple so that the image could steal the show.

Lost Anya

You might be thinking that background looks familiar and you would be right, when I cut the papers I do it so that two backgrounds are created, now I could have coloured the shoes like I usually do but this image was sat on my desk, I found it whilst looking for something else lol so she had to be used. I’m pleased with the colouring and I must say I’m enjoying colouring again, I had lost the colouring bug a bit but my holiday colouring has invigorated that again.

Wednesday?

I have a crafty friend who is obsessed with this character so when I saw her in digi form on the Greeting farm I had to buy her. Lately I have been using stuff as soon as I buy it and this was no exception. I wanted a stained glass window background and this mandala stencil fitted the bill perfectly.

Kendra Card Challenge 10 - Seventh card

This image was a freebie from The Greeting Farm and deserved to make it onto a card right away, this is the beauty of having backgrounds ready made and already knowing the colours to be able to colour the image quickly.

TGF Fairies

Wow this draft is even older than the last one I showed, hopefully there won’t be many more I’ve forgotten about.

In case you are wondering why I’ve suddenly started clearing my drafts it’s because I'm trying to be more organised and this was an easy place to start lol

I used a cute greeting farm fairies and I must have been in my cloud blueprints 31 phase lol.

Apple Anyone?

Of course when I showed the matching one of these the other day you didn't think she was a one off did you....don't be daft lol. If I have a few littles turning the same age and they don't know/see each other then why reinvent the wheel lol, plus I do think these images are super cute

Slumber anyone?

When I made this card back in early 2022 I was obsessed with this sketch and I am sure you saw lots of examples using it. Of course that obsession was replaced with another and probably by now at least three more lol

Obsessions seems to occupy both my mind and my card making especially since the pandemic started, not sure why making multiples using either a sketch, stencil or image has quelled the deamons but it has/does so long may they continue.

Teeny Tiny Planner Girls

Sometimes I wish I had bought dies to match the stamps when they are this teeny and then I realise that they don't make dies and also that I am a cheapstake lol.

When i was making this card during a zoom call my friend said I must really love the person I am making this for as it was a lot of work and I said I certainly do.

More Rainbow Snippets

When I was making the snippet card yesterday I had quite a few strips of card left over and it seemed a shame to waste them so I made this card with the leftovers of the leftover card lol.

As the background is so bright I went with a more muted greyscale colouring on this older Anya stamp. I think I might have stamped her at a playday back in 2013 and only just coloured her in. I wish I could say I am getting better at using my images but that is simply not the case.

As its another snippet card I am going to go for a play on the swings again.

Sentiment: inspiration magazine from crafters companion

Stripes: Festive berries, carved pumpkin, mustard seed, mowed lawn, salvaged patina, salty ocean, wilted violet distress inks.

Wild Sprout

I am not sure how I would have survived this last year without my obsessions, in both life and crafting they have created little safe havens for my tired and weary soul. This particular obsession was short lived but I really like the colour combo and now as I am writing this blogpost I have the urge to get those colours out again and start creating lol.

I used a new to me layered argyle stencil I bought in the January crafters companion sale, i bought several layered stencils but the others are huge and not really workable for cards so next time I need to be more vigilante when looking at sizes lol.

Magical Friends

I made a few of these cards when the "big six turned 4" but as this little girls big sister never got this design I thought I would recreate it but on an A2 base instead of a square and I prefer it.

Of course the ponies are coloured like the ones in the My Little Pony universe, did you expect anything else lol.

Acetate Anya

The last of the acetate cards at least for now and probably my favourite if i am being honest. I was going to make another flower version and goodness knows I have enough coloured flowers left to do it when I spotted this image in the pile and thought I wonder if that works and thankfully it did.

Green Stripes take 3 - the final one

This is the last of the green stripy cards, at least for now. I can't promise there won't be more though because they are so much fun to make and I can sit and chat whilst making them and I rarely mess them up lol.

I used a different die for this one and the stripes are bigger because they are the bits left after I have cut the thinner stripes lol.

The image was already coloured and in my draw but I changed her dress and bow to match the stripes and I also redid her hair to make it darker.

Stripes: twisted citroen, mowed lawn and rustic wilderness distress inks

Green Stripes

Oh no another stripy card I hear you say, now maybe I should apologise for all the stripy cards but I just can't lol. You see I just can't seem to stop making them and as the saying goes "once you pop, you can't stop" and that is certainly the case with me at the moment. I had made the green stripes for a particular card and there were quite a few left over so I thought maybe I should use them up rather than throw away and so I made two more cards and this is one of them.

One I had made the background I needed an image and I found this in my coloured images draw and it was coloured in 2013, can you believe it and it still looks ok lol.

Rainbow backgrounds

Another set of cards made during lockdown and these all have several things in common, all the images were coloured in 2013..... yes you read that correctly 2013. I took only grey markers on holiday and sat and coloured these images. Since then they have sat in a box with a lot of other coloured images waiting patiently and now finally they have made it onto cards....woohoo.

I have been using up scraps of white card from wedding invites and using the direct to colour paper method, this time I used distress inks and I like these so much more than the oxides. I went with a rainbow colour scheme and managed to make 6 backgrounds and I have quite a bit left to make some more.

The Greeting Farm Fairest

I made lots of this style card a few years ago but I just realised I never used this particular image, or if I did I ant find a blogpost with her on. She was the first one I spotted in this line of stamps and she started the obsession with owning them all lol.

The colours are brighter than I would normally use but I like the finished result.

Happy Days

This stamp set from the Greeting Farm contains two images, a boy with dinosaurs and this girl, I have used the boy several times but I had never inked up the girl until now. She is so cute I am beginning to wonder why I have never inked her before....oh yes I have so many stamps I forget what I have lol.

Lately all the cards I seem to be making are following the same pattern, previous designs I am replicating or clean and simple....again its the case of too many cards needed and not enough time.
