You are my Lobster

When I made the flamingo card a few days ago I stamped the other images from the stamp set and I thought why not use the Splat stencil with the Dutch Doobadoo and create some quick yet cute cards.

Beautiful Flamingo

I had an idea to use stencils within a stencil and it worked, the bushes are actually a mountain stencil but it works and I also used the cloud border from MFT and the wave stencil from Double Doobadoo.

The cute stamp is from Darcie's and I bought it about three years ago and only just found it in a completely different section of my organisation. Of course I am using the word "organisation" lightly cos my room is far from organised lol

Wheelie Like You

Friends of ours recently got a rescue hamster called "Roo" he is completely adored by the whole family. He is also an escape artist and should really be called "Houdini" lol.

My friend asked me to make her hubby a birthday card from the hamster and this was it lol.

Dies: A2 Stitched Rectangles from MFT

Beary Special Bears Again

So this card was made with left over bits from several other projects, the bear was coloured as part of a challenge from last year, the MOD rectangle was because I picked up the wrong size for an image and the background was because I was trying to find the right colour combo. All these things were sitting on my desk so I thought they might as well combine and make a card. I am so surprised that it all matched and worked perfectly almost like it was meant to happen lol.

I do really need to try to use up some of the hundreds of coloured images and failed backgrounds I have, I would like to challenge myself but I don't think that will last very long lol.

Ingredients
Image: "Beary Special Birthday" MFT
Sentiment: "birthday bears" also from MFT
Background: "spiral" stencil from Dutch Doobadoo
Ink: Cracked Pistachio distress ink
Dies: A2 stitched rectangle stax and Mod squares all MFT

Copics
Bear - E35, 34, 31
Cake - E49, 59, BG15, 23, 32, 11

Owl Nerd - Geek is Chic

Even though this card is straight the angle of the image and also the spiral stencil make it seem as though its spinning, to be honest its making me feel dizzy just typing the post lol.

Its a simple card as I wanted the image to stand out and not be dominated by the background, I'm not sure I completely succeeded though lol.

Ingredients
Image: "owl nerd" Pink and Main
Background:"spiral" stencil from Dutch Doobadoo using Blu Raspberry dye ink
Dies: Blueprints 2 and notepad both MFT
Card: "blu raspberry" MFT

That Bites

These images are too funny, when i first saw this set I did my usual "who would I use it for, is it worth it" assessment and before I could decide yes, someone else bought it. And so the hunt began lol. I find I'm always the same once I've decided I want something I have to hunt for it, when its in my hand or in front of my face I'm never sure lol.

I did discover that I had no wave stencils, I was so shocked as I am sure you are too. Of course I had to rectify that and immediately went looking. I found this stencil on Buddly Crafts, not somewhere I would have looked ordinarily but they have a large selection and reasonably priced too. Of course i couldn't just buy the one, don't be silly lol.

I am entering this card in Di's Snippet Playground as the black card was the stencil packaging and the sentiment was cut form the left over snippet too.
