Its been a while since I joined the challenge at Sketch Saturday but as soon as I saw this weeks I knew exactly what I was going to do. I have added a sentiment and I hope thats ok.
I used the kraft card that was still sat on my desk after making the hot cocoa card so Im off for a play in the snippet playground.

Cute Peeps
I have finally used one of the Stamping Bella peeps I bought at Joann.com on my last Florida trip. I knew exactly who I wanted to use this stamp for and as she has received the card now I can post it here.
I fell in love with this stamp range when it was first released but I could only find them in the US and as I didn't order online back then I just admired them from afar. I watched a Youtube video by EmchantedSteph and she had purchased the uptown girls from Joann so I searched and found these stamps, they arent available from Stamping Bella anymore so I was so pleased to be able to find them.
I had hoped that Christy Croll of Tiddlyink fame who designed them for Stamping Bella would stock them as digital stamps but she hasn't so far.
Ingredients:
Image: "perk me up" peep from Stamping Bella
Papers: "Be Amazing" MME
Cardstock: Kraft by recollections
Sentiment: "all about coffee" MFT
Dies: circle stax 1 and 2, washi tape, all MFT
Challenges: Snippet Playground

Sketch Saturday 281
I needed a sketch to kick start the mojo and this challenge never fails to get the thinking cap on. I used an older stamping bella stamp although it is a new stamp for me as I only just bought it.
I love all things Christmas but stockings and gingerbread men have to be my favourite. I don't seem to be able to stop buying stamps with either of them lol.
I used recycled card for the image, sentiment and matting on this card, not sure if it qualifies for the snippet challenge although neither were complete when I started having already been previously cut into so maybe they do.
Ingredients
Image: "sockabellafella" Stamping Bella
Paper: "Country Christmas" papermania
Cardstock: blue - recycled file folder, white - recycled certificate
Sentiment: "Stockings Prints" Papertrey Ink
Dies: Oval stax 1 and 2 - MFT stamps
Flock: Martha Stewart
Challenges: snippet playground

Pollycraft challenge 7 - Harvest Colours & Sketch Saturday 275
Three challenges in one, well actually four although the fourth one is a personal challenge from the lovely Kay. Kay challenged me to paper piece/toll an image where there wasn't a tutorial to follow, I was apprehensive at the start but it is much easier than I thought and I can see myself using this method a lot.
Ok so not my normal colours but I enjoyed changing it up. I love autumn the colours, smells and crisp leaves underfoot, the promise of winter to come. The colours look brighter on the screen than in real life and match the paper a whole lot better.
Ingredients:

Paper: "best of fall" summer driggs
Cardstock: Snippet folder (originally certificates)

AWOL and Sketch Saturday
Hi everyone, sorry I have been AWOL for a couple of weeks I got the unexpected opportunity to travel and couldn't pass up such a great experience. Normally when I know I am going to be away I schedule at least a couple of posts but there just wasn't time. I did visit you all though leaving comments with the hotel intermittent internet connection proved problematic and frustrating lol.
I took a few images and my neutral grey copics and decided to try the monochromatic look, really enjoyed this and have used one of these images on my card below. I added a pop of raspberry to the image to match the already printed papers in my snippet draw.
I have really enjoyed the sketch saturday challenges and have been trying to take part every week, sketches have always been my nemesis but I am slowing starting to enjoy them.

Button Tree
I love this image by Sassy Cheryl, I have been eyeing it for a while and finally snagged it in the recent sale for a $1, such a bargain. Looks like the stamp isn't available on the new site...such a shame, sorry.
I decided to use the paper tolling technique again and am really pleased with how it came out. The colours are a bit non- traditional but I so wanted to use the new stampin up papers I got last week.
As the card was button themed I used my Boofle button embossing folder which I have only used once before and it gives such a lovely finish too, it was a bit difficult to see on the midnight muse cardstock so I used my new white ink pad to give a softer chalked effect. I also discovered that I have a button thin cut die that I must have bought about 7 years ago and never used, in fact I found 3 different ones lol.

Rain, Shine or Snow
Well my mojo is definitely on holiday or lost, if anyone sees it can they please send it back as I have five cards to make before the weekend...eeek.
Anyway onto the card, I am loving these paper pads by MME that I got at Michaels, so much so that I am running out of some of the papers but that is ok cos then I get to buy more lol.
I have used the current, I know the current sketch saturday sketch and must say I loved working with it. I always find sketches help when my mojo is on holiday although I am so slow normally they are out of date by the time I have finished the card but not this time so I get to enter...yeah...

A Pause from the Christmas Makes
Every year I tell myself to be more organised and every year I ignore myself lol, I have lots of BIG birthdays in December this year and even though I decided on the images and even the papers I was going to use I still haven't made all of the cards I need. I really need to get a wriggle on as it is my Mum's birthday soon and all the cards need to be made before then so I can deliver them.
So onto the first card, this one is for my godson's girlfriend, she is such a lovely person and she makes him so happy too. I loved this image when I saw it on Mary's blog so when I was in the shop I just had to get it.

Polished to Perfection
Some cards just seem to make themselves and this is certainly true of this card. I wanted to use the Sketch Saturday sketch as it is clean and simple just like me, I normally struggle with sketches but this one is so easy to use and I can see it being a regular from now on.
I coloured the image with my copics and am quite pleased with how it worked, wish I could have gotten more definition with the hair. The colours were determined by the snippets I had on my desk and I must admit I do like this colour combo, I was originally going to use "fine linen" from papertrey but I couldn't bear to cut into a new sheet so I used the left over kraft instead.
