Be a Flamingo in a flock of pigeons

In one of my earlier posts I said I was revisiting older designs so you didn’t think I could leave out my rainbow stripes phase did you, of course now it’s changed to different colours of the same shade but I still love it lol. The packs of recollections card from Michael’s makes this so easy as you get 5 colours per pack, not sure why though but one colour always bares no relation to the rest of the pack lol.

Meowy Christmas

Wow how is it the 22nd December already, where are the days disappearing to. I hope you are all ready and all the shopping is done. I started earlier this year and I am still running round like a headless chicken lol.

Sometimes the two images in a stamp set are too fabulous to not use both and that was the case with this set, I had a pine tree branch from the gina K crop and create set and I just stamped it randomly and even if I say so myself it looks like a christmas tree lol. 

Dachshund through the snow

This set from Darcie was perfect for my cousin who has just added a dachshund to their family, of course theirs is a different colour but there was no way I was matching that lol.

You are my Lobster

When I made the flamingo card a few days ago I stamped the other images from the stamp set and I thought why not use the Splat stencil with the Dutch Doobadoo and create some quick yet cute cards.

I had an idea to use stencils within a stencil and it worked, the bushes are actually a mountain stencil but it works and I also used the cloud border from MFT and the wave stencil from Double Doobadoo. 

The cute stamp is from Darcie's and I bought it about three years ago and only just found it in a completely different section of my organisation. Of course I am using the word "organisation" lightly cos my room is far from organised lol

I can't believe I am still on a roll with this stencil, it must surely be my most used stencil by a long stretch. 

I am still working my way through the huge amount of already coloured images and trying to make quick and easy cards so next year doesn't feel as stressed as this year did, although to be fair the virus made this year more stressful than cardmaking did. 

This image has been coloured for years so I have no idea what i used to colour him but I do like the shine on his hair lol.

Magic Picture Changer Super Boy

I made a very similar card to this when I first bought this die set from Lawn Fawn, I can't believe this is only the second card I have made using it and I used the same image too lol.

I did change up the colour scheme though lol. The boy I made this for loves orange so I went with a very orange colour scheme, I will admit I really like orange and grey together.

I wish I had more stamps that you could use like this, hopefully more companies will do something similar in the future.

Magic Picture Changer - First Attempt

When I bought this stamp set about two years ago this was the idea I had to use it, of course these dies didn't exist then and I tried to use the magic slider die but it didn't work, so when the dies were released I knew what card I needed to make first.

I am sure that next time I will line up the image a little better, I stamped him a little low and lost most of his legs lol. I do think this might be something I use again if not often as it was more fun than I care to admit lol.

Ok so the title of this post is punny but so are the sentiments in this set. My hubby and I recently celebrated 25 years of marriage, I don't know who is more surprised to have gotten here in what seems like a flash lol.

I made him a card and I knew it couldn't be soppy or sentimental so I went with punny instead.

Elf on the Edge

After I made the Eskimo Kisses cards this little image was crying out to be coloured, so of course I had to oblige lol. I can't believe how many sheets of doodlebug paper I have used this year, I can safely say its more than any other year as its the first doodlebug pad I've ever cut into lol. I know I have a problem. 

This is almost the last christmas card of 2016, only one more left, will you be sad when I stop showing christmas cards or pleased?

Eskimo Kisses

I had an idea for the kiddos christmas cards and they look exactly as I wanted, you have no idea how unusual that is lol.

I used the same stamp but added the pigtails for the girl version. This card looks easy but it sure wasn't lol. I had seen a card on the MFT blog using a background stamp and sentiment in the space and thought it was cool but that I would add an image to mine. Once I had decided on the layout they dod come together fairly easily and I used some of my hoarded paper too.

Almost finished with the christmas cards, well until I start again in October lol.I have decided that this year I am going to make one design every month and make at least four matching cards. Oh By Golly

The lawn fawn snow globe can be used with loads of the small lawn fawn sets and loads of other small sets as well. I was originally going to pop the winter unicorn in this globe but I had this small snowman sitting on my desk and he fitted perfectly, looks like I'm going to have to make another one for the unicorn now lol.

Are you Yeti to Party?

This si the other image in the Darcie "yeti to party" set, I fell in love with his cute grin. He was the first one I coloured but not the first card I made. I used the diagonal stripe on the polar bear and thought why not make an almost identical card this time. I love colouring the stripes with copics, and putting it all back together feels like a jigsaw puzzle.

Darcie Polar Bear

I was just leaving a store in Florida when I spotted new stock waiting to go out and this uber cute polar bear just begged to be brought home with me, there is also a yeti (hence the sets name) which I have also coloured and am in the process of making into an almost identical card ( look out for that soon).

I have used a similar cover up die a lot recently so I knew that I had to get the other version too, unusually for me I have used it already, normally I wait until Ive had an item at least six months before I use it lol.

Superman versus Batman

I'm not a fan of either batman or superman but I do know someone who is and this card was made to wish them a very Happy Birthday. I did have to buy these stamps though as I had an idea for this very card.

The cover plate has been cut three times and layered for some dimension and after I added the three skylines it needed it. My hubbie had the idea of adding the characters with action wobblers, of course I have some but could I find them, well of course I couldn't. Luckily I was attending a craft show at Newbury racecourse and I bought some there, I did think as soon as I finished the card I would find my originals but no such luck so far.
