The second design for the magnificent 7 is because I had already used the Wee stamps Leon for a card for their big brothers or cousins so I needed to find a different image. I remembered that I used the digistamp boutique dragon costume last year so thought why not use that again this year. Of course this young man is Welsh so the dragon had to be red lol.
I really like the way Amy from Sweet November Stamps captures the essence of her characters, you can almost feel the hug through the screen.
I went fairly simple and left the background in shades of grey so it remains a background rather than scene stealing.
Once a year I go through my photos and draft posts and I try to add them all, normally I remember making the cards even but I don’t have any recollection of making this one lol. I know who I made it for and it’s definitely my card but the rest is a blank lol.
It does harken back to my patterned papers phase and makes me realise I need to revisit them and use them.
Even if I don’t remember it it’s still a cute card lol.

Another of the obsession cards and again one of the images from the Sam Calcot set, I do kind of wish I had added white lines but there is always next time lol.
The newest obsession in case you were wondering is the brushstroke stencil from clearly besotted and the notched die from pink and main, they are definitely a match made in card making heaven.

Last year there were only two babies born amongst my family and friends and within a week of each other too. This year it is looking like there won’t be any at all!!
I used a lot and I mean a lot of crystal glaze on the balloons and they are super shiny in real life.
Do you ever start colouring something and suddenly realise you’ve completely changed the colour you were going to use into something else, this van was going to be orange but it’s definitely blue lol. I was chatting and colouring and then I realised what I had done it was too late.
The hobby lobby paperpack is getting a lot of use lately and I’m pleased as I’ve had it about 5 years and only used a few pieces.
I absolutely love colouring images and sometimes they even make it onto cards lol. This was one of those images, I did colour it with the person in mind but then I thought how do I put it together and of course the stencil from Clearly besotted saved the day.
I made two almost identical cards last year and decided if it ain’t broke don’t fix it and went with the same design again. I did try and colour the dogs like theirs though
