Acetate Bees Knees

I was in the acetate card front zone and I was looking at all my coverplates and this card just jumped into my head so of course I had to make it and I had the perfect person in mind too.

The stamps aren't mine but when my friend brought them to a crafty get together I knew I wanted them, on my next trip to florida I think they might fall into my basket lol.

The acetate cards were made after watching a jennifer mcguire video and they were so much fun to make, in fact I made four all different so expect to see the rest soon.

Another First Birthday

Another first birthday card for a little girl, this one though has no pink anywhere in sight lol. I found it quite hard to make a girl card without pink, I had no idea it was my go to colour.

I actually enjoyed making this card in different colours, maybe I need to change it up more often. I used the same layout I've been using on all this the of card so nothing to report that is different, except I am addicted to the mft basic and scalloped edges lol.

Once again my tried and tested 1st birthday card design, well if it ain't broke why fix it. I did mix it up a little bit this time by changing the image and dies I used but it still felt the same to make.

I think this image from Mo is too adorable and I also bought the boy version so that I had both, I know its an addiction. Must have all the things lol.

Pergamano Flower Girl

These are such delicate and beautifully drawn images, they are quite fiddly to colour as they are so delicate but the end result is worth it though.

As with most things these stamps have been around for a while, I wanted them but they were quite difficult to get hold of. I decided I didn't need them and then I spotted them lurking in a store and that was it I had to have them. There are four images in the set, each one is beautiful and I am hoping that they might make it on a card before 2018 lol.

Creative Stamping does it again

Every issue of this magazine has phenomenal stamps with it, a whole sheet packed with versatile images, I don't buy every issue as some don't appeal to me but they are still excellent value.

I had an idea in my head and although it looks nothing like it I still think its ok for a guy card.

Sweet Peas

Firstly I think I need to apologise about the awful photo quality, it is nearly impossible to get a decent photo at the moment as there is about an hour a day of good light and this card needed to be posted and couldn't wait so there you have it in all its blue toned glory.

I coloured an image for this card whilst in Florida and I know I have seen it since I came home but when I went to make the card it had vanished so I had to start again. I would imagine the law according to sod means as soon as I hit publish on this post or put the card in the postbox it will appear lol,

Happy Birthday Sioned

I am sure my friend won't be reading my blog today but I didn't want to post her card here before her actual birthday just in case lol.

I had to use this new colour from stampin up called smoky slate, it is a light grey colour but it seems to be more purple in the picture. It is a really pretty colour and could easily replace silver in christmas card projects. I think I may even buy the ink too as I think snowflakes stamped in this would look gorgeous.

This card is full of NBUS, the image (had over a year), sentiment and die (since May), I was going to say papers but I have just noticed I have used one sheet already lol.

Ingredients
Image: "" a la mode by MFT stamps
Papers: "Fiddlesticks" MME
Card: "smoky slate" stampin up
Sentiment: "absolutely" simon says stamp
Dies: "absolutely" simon says stamp, "star" xcut

Who borrowed my shoes?

This was a common phrase when I was growing up, my cousin was 9 years older than me and she had the most fantastic high heeled shoes that I would borrow when she was out, one pair in particular still bring a smile to my lips, they were teal suede with red lining and as it was the seventies incredibly high and I nearly broke my neck in them but it didn't stop me trying them on again and again and again lol.

As soon as I saw this image I knew who it was going to be for and I knew I had to colour the shoes the same as those ones from my escapades.

I am entering the snippet playground too as the red is all from the snippet folder, although I kinda wish I had gone with black instead lol.

Ingredients
Image: "big shoes" Mo's digital pencil
Sentiment: computer generated using "freehand 591" font
Papers: "circa 1934" Cosmo cricket
Card: "real red" stampin up

Giddy up, cowboy

I come from a spaghetti western loving home, I remember Sunday afternoons watching John Wayne and his swagger lol. My mum loves JW and has all his films so as soon as I saw these a la modes I had to get them.

Yet another a6 card, it was so much easier to fill than my standard square so I can see this being a go to card size for a while.
