Craft Group

I attend a weekly craft group at a very lovely ladies house and this is the style of card I made for them this year. I used different images on each one and also took this picture before I added the white gel pen snow but you get the idea lol.

I was in such a rush to get them made, written and handed out before we finished for christmas that I had sealed the envelopes before I photographed them, I must be more organised next year lol.

Merry - Purple Onion Designs

I have a good friend who is a bit of a penguin fan, so every time I see a cute penguin I want to buy it. Now I already have enough penguin stamps to make her a christmas card for at least twenty years but these "Stacey Yacula" designs from Purple Onion get me everytime. I just looked and there are new designs for this year, oh please someone stop me lol.

This is the final version of the play day girls christmas card, I  used two colour ways and a few different images but essentially they were all the same design. I did enjoy making these even if they were more work than I originally envisioned.

Playday Christmas Cards Take 1

For my crafty friends I always try and push my creativity, I don't always succeed but I do try. I love anything fair isle/holiday knit so when I saw the "holiday knit" stencil from Tim Holtz I knew I had to get it. I knew I wanted to use it on my christmas cards but how, I tried inking though it and although it looked cool I knew it wasn't the look I wanted. I have been cleaning my craft room and came across the texture paste I bought in the summer and even though this is an extremely intricate stencil I decided to give it a go. Its not perfect but I like the effect, I think the white on white is lovely but I wished I had used a coloured card base and maybe not had the paste so low on the card, but this is a first attempt as the title suggests so you will get to see my other tries over the next few days until I show you the final article.
