Pink Dolls Pram

Well I did say I printed both images, I've used the same papers, colours, dies and just flipped the layout. I have six third birthday cards to make this year and last year I batch made them with the same layout I just changed the image and sometimes the colours so I thought if that system works why do it differently this year lol.

Purple Dolls Pram

My mum bought Lily a purple dolls pram for christmas and it is one of her treasured possessions so when Mo brought out a new image of a little girl pushing a pram I had to get it. In this set you get two little girls meant to be used as twins but I printed them separately and I will be using the other one soon for one of the third birthday cards I have to make.

You might recognise this layout as I made a card recently using it and I liked it so much I couldn't wait to use it again.

Don't Worry Be Happy

Now I know this stamp is called "Farrah loves to Flashdance" but all I see when I look at her is Kevin Bacon singing "Footloose" lol.

I tried a different style and although she needs to be nearer the bottom of the card I really like this style. I'm not saying its a style I will use loads but for these uptown girls which are rather large it works better than trying to contain them in a circle or rectangle.

From the Heart Grumpy Cat

This cat reminded me so much of my friends rather large grey ball of fluff I had to get it, it was part of a set but I had to have it. I bought it ages ago but I knew from the start I wanted to use it for her birthday.

I forgot to order the Simon Says Stamp curvy scalloped border dies when I was last in Florida and I wanted to recreate that look so I took a look at my dies and thought I could achieve something similar with the stitched hillside dies from lawn fawn. I wasn't sure if it would work but it did and now I have another use for them.

Birthday Bear

I resisted these bears when they were a digistamp and again when MFT released them, I wasn't sure I would use them even though I'm a confirmed bear collector. When I saw the cards Michelle made with them I could resist no longer and I had to get them. Unbelievably for me I have coloured two already and plan on making an almost identical card to this one as soon as I can get back in my disaster area of a craft room.

Hello Gorgeous Again

When I bought this stamp set it was for the lady with the faux fur trim, I didn't really look at the other stamps. I am trying something new in that I have to make a card with all the images from a set before I put it away, so in this case you can expect to see at least another two cards from it.  I am guilty of buying and using once so I am trying my very best (insert might fail at the first hurdle) to not keep doing this, I have natural hoarding tendencies and with a very small room this is becoming an issue, so if I'm not going to use it maybe someone else will. OMG I think I am suggesting getting rid of some of my stamps, my heart is pounding a little just typing this lol.

Anyway onto the card, nothing exciting of fancy but I am pleased with how the image is coloured. Before you ask no I didn't match her hair to the paper I had already coloured that bit before I found the paper pack, a happy accident if you will lol.

Merci Beaucoup

It would appear that most of my cards are fairly similar at the moment and its no coincidence either that I have a new die set, can you guess which one lol.

I was with friends when I coloured this rose and I wanted to match the colour to what the card represented so I looked up rose colours and meaning and "peach" fitted the bill perfectly. Its  to a colour I would normally go for but I have to say I enjoyed colouring it.

Happy Panda

Looking at this card now I realise I should have coloured the balloons in rainbow order but there is always next time lol. This card has lots of masking on it and is very similar to the one I made with a Stamping Bella Tiny Townie. I do think the wonky stitching adds to it more though.

Gorjuss Sweet Tea

Yet another must have stamp that hasn't been used, as I am trying to use my old stash before I buy more you might be hearing that a lot over the next few months. Of course I'm not saying I'm on a ban as that just makes me spend more but I am being much more conservative and careful in my choices.

The tea cup on this is huge and I thought paper piecing would be better than trying to get my copics to blend nicely on such a large surface, especially as I haven't been using them lately and I feel out of practice. I had already coloured her hair when I noticed the "alice" reference oh well I think she suits black hair lol.

Creative Stamper

Ive said it before and I will say it again the free magazines in the UK keep getting better and better, this magazine contained an entire sheet of useful elegant images, even better was that the magazine showed you how to use them effectively. The lady and dress are separate images and I masked the dress before stamping the lady, this I saw in the magazine otherwise I would have just paper pieced her dress. You could of course create a whole wardrobe for her and even create a dress up doll card (future ideas i think lol)

I will definitely be looking for this magazine again, I can't wait to see what they do next.
