This cat reminded me so much of my friends rather large grey ball of fluff I had to get it, it was part of a set but I had to have it. I bought it ages ago but I knew from the start I wanted to use it for her birthday.
I forgot to order the Simon Says Stamp curvy scalloped border dies when I was last in Florida and I wanted to recreate that look so I took a look at my dies and thought I could achieve something similar with the stitched hillside dies from lawn fawn. I wasn't sure if it would work but it did and now I have another use for them.

Poker Party
I haven't been colouring as much as normal and I think its because I don't use my digi stamps as much, I would always print an entire sheet and think about which ones I would need next etc, now I tend to grab a stamp or die and i'm done. Well I had to print the new job image recently so I decided to do an entire sheet and see what I had for upcoming birthdays, my I have a lot of digi stamps and I had no problem finding ones I wanted to use, of course if I had printed them all I would be sitting under a paper mountain lol.
I coloured the image and I like that it kind of matches the background although that wasn't my intention. I have also used the left over piece I made for the beer card, it was sitting on my desk and it seemed wrong to not just use it. I did turn the grid background so it somewhat mimics the card background and I must remember that my background stamps are far more versatile than I realise.

Birdbrain Card Sharks
After seeing a card on Jules blog I went looking at the "from the heart stamps" store and bought a few of the birdbrains, ok quite a few but they appeal to my sense of humour and are perfect for guy cards, and as you know I like making guy cards lol.
I made this one without anyone specific in mind, something I rarely get chance to do anymore. I used papers already in the snippet folder so another entry to the playground, I have played along a few times recently which means I must be reducing the snippet mountain...right?
Ingredients

Card: "tempting turquoise' stamping up, "orange zest" papertrey ink

Brad: Eyelet Outlet

Birdbrain Chocolate Box
I found this digi stamp company after seeing a card on the lovely Jules blog, of course I had to get the chocolate one, it would appear that no matter what I can't stay away from chocolate. The sentiment was included and I think is a perfect one and is probably by life mantra lol.
I did do something I never ever do though and colour the image without knowing what papers I was going to use, I used to colour this way when I first started and then struggle to find papers to match which is why I changed but I was so eager to colour this one that I didn't even think about it. Luckily I had these papers in my snippet folder and they kind of match, well enough to get away with. I used the stampin up card which is a lovely colour but I always get the name confused with the pti version so I'm not sure if this is correct.

Paper: "Lavender Mint Tea" Shabby Princess
