Audrey Hepburn...Darling

I loved this stamp as soon as I saw it and was going to wait until my next Florida holiday to get her but in the end I couldn't wait and ordered her from Quixotic Paperie, she arrived on Saturday and was inked and coloured the very same day. I also ordered the "make it crafty" blending card and it seemed to work well, very smooth will try it a bit more and let you know if I am converted.

I knew I wanted a skyline behind her, preferably New York as the image reminds me of "Breakfast at Tiffany's" but I don't have a die and my cutting is rubbish so I decided to search the tinternet and look what I found on Paper Yoga and free too, I used my craft robo and some grey snippet cardstock, I used the MME "Blush" papers that are nearly all gone and voila a finished card.

I have also coloured another of these so expect to see that card very soon.

Monkey Business

So I needed a card fast and my printer is out of ink so I had to delve into my printed uncoloured images box and I found this cute chester retro image that has probably been in there for two years. I used him previously on this card and thought if it ain't broke why fix it and made an almost identical copy.

I hope the recipient doesn't notice that the green paper is upside down though...only noticed when I uploaded him...oh well never mind it is supposed to be handmade and unique lol.

I am entering Di's snippet playground, I have so missed playing along and hope there is room on the swings.

Winter Blues and a Baby Card

I am sure this happens every year but until now I hadn't noticed but the winter blues have definitely hit. Not really been feeling like crafting and haven't even unpacked from my craft playday last week but I needed to finish this card so today I made an effort and actually enjoyed myself too.

I have used my most used and favourite baby images from Mo, I bought these so long ago that I can't remember not having them, coloured with copics and a glossy accented dummy too.

As well as this being my go to images these papers are my favourite for babies too and I bought both the boy and girl sets and still love using them.

Papers: "Baby Boy" Nit Wit Collections
Cardstock: 'Limeade Ice" Papertrey Ink and 'Bashful Blue" Stampin Up

Another 1st Birthday

I made this card for my friend who had seen the card I made at the start of January and wanted a similar version, that is one of the many benefits of having a blog, when someone asks about a card you can show them ones you have made previously. This helped me enormously as I am struggling to put together even the most basic card at the moment. This bronchitis is certainly kicking my butt, maybe I should have listened and stayed off work but then I would only have stressed about it instead.

I bought all 4 of these babies with bears and this is the first one I have coloured, I am not normally pleased with my colouring but I think this is the best curly hair I have ever done and makes me want to colour more.

I have used the card left over from the 1st birthday card I made at the beginning of January and the papers too, now as my desk is so messy they hadn't even made it to the snippet draw, naughty Amanda lol.

Cute Panda

As you all know I love Panda's but the lady that introduced me to card making and helped me empty my bank account is even more obsessed with them than me lol. Sue is a lady that lives near my Mum and she gave my Mum the idea to buy me a TSV for my birthday way back in 2005, she got the idea as I was like a kid in a candy store when I saw her substantial stash and as I have always loved paper, notepads and stationary this seemed to be the perfect hobby for me. I do remember saying that even though I really enjoyed making the cards in that kit I was not going to get hooked and spend a lot, and I was right, I am not hooked I am obsessed and I haven't spent a lot I have spent a fortune lol.

I really can't thank her enough as without her I wouldn't have met all of you, shared some good and bad times with people that share my card making passion and with whom I feel a kindred connection.

Ok so now after getting all emotional I suppose I should show you the card lol. I used a gorgeous digi stamp from The Paper Shelter, so easy to colour and so adorable too.

Papers are from a lettering delights kit that I bought in their $1 sale about four years ago and have never used(edited: just went to add the link and it appears to be retired, although there are loads of new cut files and fonts to see). I used new card that I bought in October from Papertrey Ink, such a gorgeous cream craft colour I can't believe this is the first time I have cut into this colour.
