A birdie told me ....

This is such a cute set from Digistamp Boutique, lots of possibilities, of course I've only used it for new home cards but I have made several.

I decided to try making a frame so it looked like a picture on the wall, I used a die set from MFT called chalkboard frame builder, I can't find it on the website though 😞. I cut the frames with Kraft card and stamped a woodgrain background using memento rich cocoa ink. It was fiddlier to put together than I thought but I like the end result.

Until the last year or so most of my cards were square and I used to buy my card bases and envelopes in bulk, now I'm making mostly U.S. A2, the square card blanks are lying in a drawer unused. So I made a decision, I kind of need some room for new stuff so I need to make space and I'm going to use up some of the mountain of ready made card bases I already have.

You Rock

Yet another teenage boy card, with quite a few birthdays close together I like to get them all out of the way in one sitting, this also means I use lots of different sets. This stencil was only wish list at my last Florida visit and I'm so pleased with it, I think rainbow colours next or maybe girlie colours, even with the same elements it would give the card a completely different look.

The card itself is fairly simple, I prefer to stick to simple for boys cards, not that to be honest I really do fussy at all.

The die was cut with plain white card and I used the same technique as I used on the controller card to colour it in, I need more practice but I think it looks a bit dimensional.

Full on Case'd

I didn't think I've ever full on case'd a card before, I've taken elements but still put my own twist on it but this card by Elaine
was so perfect I've copied it almost completely.

I watched Elaine's colouring video and gave it a go, I didn't have the same greys so went with what I had but I must admit I'm pleased with the outcome and will definitely be trying this again.

The hardest part was stamping the background but once I got started it seemed to come together really quickly.

Ingredients
Image: "level up" die from MFT
Sentiment: "level up" from MFT
Dies: Blueprints 4 and 5 and rounded rectangle stax all MFT
Background: "level up" sentiment stamped with New Leaf ink from Papertrey Ink

Rainbows will come

This is a very bright, colourful card inspired by ...you guessed it ....rainbows lol. I decided to get together all my rainbow themed items and see what happened, and a shaker card is what happened lol.

Ive used several different (for me) things on this card, partial diecutting - used a circle and didn't cut the whole thing, I thought this would be impossible on an embosser but was actually very easy. I have also stamped and over coloured the sentiment, I did try getting each letter coloured individually but that proved impossible so I stamped it in memento angel pink and just wrote over the top, simple solution lol.

Little Miss

This is another of the bargain stamps from Everycraftsapound, I adored this range when it was released but could only afford a few so when I saw them at this price I thought why not get a load lol.

I almost always colour my cat stamps, grey (my friends cat) or black and white (my mums cat) and once I think I've coloured a cat white but one of my mums many cats is a "calico" or tortoiseshell, and I really wanted to try this one. It was much more difficult than I thought it would be and she needs more spots but Im pleased with the result, next on my list is a tabby.

Hope Blooms

I saw a card on pinterest and thought I'm sure I have that stamp set and do you know what I did lol. Its not an exact copy of really even close but the concept came from that card. It looks kind of dull on the screen but it is much more vibrant in real life.

Wellington Bear

I'm not sure where I got this idea but it kind of evolved a life of its own, the only thing I realised is that I wanted to create a panelled floor and I don't have the stamp I thought I did so its on my wish list for my next Florida trip.

Its not easy to see in the picture but I even debossed a line on the skirting board, irl this shows up and makes it look real. The picture frame was a last minute thought and turned out better than I hoped, this card even has a bit of doodling lol.

It was a fun card to create and might just mean I make more scene cards in the future, you got to start small right lol.

Peek a Boo Trio 3

Yet another card made with the MFT peek a boo trio die, I think this die is so effective I'm pleased I have the four hole one as well.

I picked up this clear stamp set in the clearance section of Michaels on a recent florida trip, it was missing one of the dogs but the one I wanted was there and for $1 it was too good to miss.

Peek a Boo Trio 2

This is the second card I made with this die, once I started I couldn't seem to stop lol. Again I used Stampin Up images as they are on the small side and one seems a little lost on a card on its own.
