The final 70th card for this year and the only one that wasn't posted across the pond lol.
I knew what images I wanted to use on this card when I bought them so of course i struggled to find the set once the card needed to be made lol.
I am really enjoying making the number cards on my cricut, I find them oddly satisfying and I can't see a reason to stop anytime soon lol.
The final thing to say is to wish all my friends who have celebrated big birthdays this year a very happy day and I hope there was lots of cake lol.
So who's ready for another number big birthday card lol. Before you ask yes it was made on the cricut and yes i did design it myself and yes i do love it lol.
I went with a superhero theme for this card and it was inspired by the batman card I made last year.I showed a non crafty friend and she said it would be perfect for her son so I thought why not use it on his card this year.
The next 70 uses my cricut again but I tried to do skinny letters and it worked. I used a paper pack called flamingo from Michaels and I went with a new stamp from a new to me company for the actual flamingo.
The card has arrived and all the big birthdays have been celebrated so now I can show them all on here.
I used the butterfly wishes die again but this time I needed a sympathy card and I had already used my tried and tested designs for this family so I went a completely different direction.
I do think it works well as a sympathy card and I did make a spare one.
I made these cards fro 2 little boys who are obsessed with pokemon. I designed the card base myself on the cricut, I am still astounded by the amount of stuff I am making with it.
The images are colouring pages and I do know that they both loved the cards in fact one is still on display 2 months after his birthday, thats when you know you got the brief right lol.
Sometimes a card makes itself and this one certainly did. I was cleaning my room and I came across the background stencilled panel and the bear and it seemed a match made in heaven, all i did was colour the balloon and present to match the colours and add the numbers and it was done.
I can't believe I have 4 friends celebrating 70 this year and they all know each other so I cant't replicate any of the designs lol.
A very good friend of mine recently turned 70 and she was adamant that she didn't want cards with the number on them, now this meant my normal eclipse or big numbers were out of the question so what do you do in the situation....you make it so that the number is hidden lol.
I used a concord and 9th image and the dies to create this card and I am so pleased it all worked. Plus it made her chuckle which is always a good thing.
I still had the paper pack on my desk so I thought why not make another card…three times a charm after all lol.
I didn’t use the swoosh this time though as I had put it away safely I.e. I had no idea in which die storage binder lol so I went old school and it’s just as effective if you ask me.
I figure if you’ve got the stuff on your desk you might as well make another card, I liked this paper in the pad so thought why not just make a purple one too. I am still shocked that I haven’t made anything rainbow with this die….give me time lol.
