I like big books

Two young ladies I make cards for are avid readers and also best friends, I tried to make it look like they were in the same room just on different chairs. I did make a bookmark for the other one but forgot to photograph it lol.

Daffodily kind of day

Another of the polkadoodles flower sets and another set that I created last year. Again I remembered these cards whilst searching to find the colours to make another one. I’m not sure why I didn’t publish this post last year but here we are anyway lol.

Polkadoodles digi sets are such great value and even though I coloured these ones myself they also have a set ready coloured for those quick cards.

Ship in a Bottle

I found this card in the unpublished section when chatting to a friend about Nautical stamps. I said I had made a card with a set from creative stamping but I couldn’t find it on my blog. As the blog is a reminder to myself of what I’ve made I thought I should pop it up.

IT girls again

I do like it when you re-discover a copic colour combo and you remember why you liked it so much and over used it lol. I made this card way back in March and I might have bought more of the IT girl stamps since, they are perfect for the people I make cards for and of course being digital I can make them whatever size I want.

White Wine

Woohoo the last of this design at least it is when I am typing this post in September last year, who knows I might have revisited it and made a load more lol

I wish I had made the wine a different colour combo but it does look more of a match in real life than on here

Margarita Anyone?

Last of the failed backgrounds and I think one of my favourites, these stamps lend themselves so well to the splatter background and now I want to make them in different colours

Blue Moon

Almost the last of the failed backgrounds only one more to go, when faced with a blue moon looking background it seems logical to make a blue moon cocktail to go with it. It is making me want to try a blue moon now though lol.

Gin Glass

This is one of the failed backgrounds for the gin bottle card from my last post but I do think it worked perfectly with the gin glass from the stamp set. Looking at this card does make me want to make more lol

Let the fun BeGin

So this card wasn't as easy as the others as Gin has no real colour so I went with a sort of lime juice splatter, of course this resulted in about four other backgrounds whilst trying to find the correct colour so expect to see those soon.

Magic Mae

When I made the “magic inspired” card months ago I used the reverse of the papers to make this background, I do like doing that as you get two for one. 

I found this image already printed on my desk so I just coloured her to match the colours and the card was made.

When I’m struggling with inspiration creating backgrounds helps, that might be rainbow stripes, stencilling or using “that sketch” but they are there ready to put the perfect image on when colouring is the only thing I want to do.
