The last of this style for a while and using some of the christmas goodies I received from Santa lol.
I was very lucky and received a few of the little sets from Create a Smile and they certainly made my day when I opened them lol. This is the first one I have used but there were a few and each is delightful
You may have noticed a bit of a pattern with my last few posts lol, the obsession for the start of 2023 is the watercolour stencil and distress oxide inks. I do think it makes the image pop and they are quick and easy to make too. There will be more but I won't be showing them until after the recipients birthdays. But lets just say I made a lot more lol.
During Chrimbo limbo I was looking for a Panda image to make a card for the lady that started my cardmaking journey and I came across these freebie digital stamps on Hunkydory, there are loads to choose from and not just pandas either. I printed a few and will show them later once the birthdays have passed.
I am really struggling with the page titles at the moment for my blogposts, my witty quotes seem to have disappeared so the obvious will have to do lol.
Another of the watercolour stencil backgrounds but a very different image. This time its a green combo and uses twisted citroen, mowed lawn and rustic wilderness. It is so vibrant in real life and I might have made a few lol.
The digital stamp is by "Design Bundles" and was bought during one of the dollar deal days, as soon as I saw it I knew who it was going to be for and I hope he likes it too.
I was asked to make a card for one of my hubbie's friends and although I know this guy well and his interests I was drawing a complete blank, I had the watercolour stencil on my desk and thought why not recreate one of my cards from last year and this was the result, of course once you pop you can't stop and I might have made several lol.
I used the same colours for this one as last years and I really like the blue combo although I forgot the unchartered mariner lol.
Wow this has been in my drafts for 2 years!!! Not sure why it didn’t get shown during my rainbow stripes stage but here it is in all its glory.
Being able to scale a digital stamp is what makes them the most versatile to me, my mum like large cards and all my stamps are sized for us a2 or Uk a6 so digital stamps are my go to for her cards, plus if I use digital paper too I can paper piece and scale that too.
It’s a fairly simple card and she liked it a lot which to me is the most important bit.
I was in my make digital stamps large phase when I printed this image. After seeing this card again I feel like I want to revisit that again.
My second attempt and I like the colouring more on these. I also used a long lost tool to stamp the repeating background….my fiskars stamp press….it was so easy and quick.
This was the first time in years I have made anything with this die set from MFT. I was going to recreate my previous card but I remembered they are all wireless now lol.
I am so glad I didn’t sell this set as it’s so perfect for guy/kids cards.
