Another big birthday and one I completed early as I knew what image I wanted to use and I almost copied a design I made way back in 2010, sometimes if it ain’t broke don’t fix it lol.

You may recognise this design from one I made earlier this year, at the time I thought it would make a fabulous eclipse card but I hadn’t thought far enough ahead lol.

Rainbow Roller Skates

A total departure from my normal style, absolutely no stamping and no colouring on these just die cuts. I love the way the bright rainbow pops on the black and wonder why I’ve never tried it before. 

Harry Potter Cat

This is a new digi stamp company, well new to me anyway lol, i really like the designs and by the time this publishes I will have probably bought more.

I wanted a magical map and saw this one in the Hunkydory sale so I thought it was a match made in heaven and now seeing it again I like it even more and think I should make a few of these.

Spotlight Stencil Again

I do think I will be using this technique again but I might stamp the background (not in the stencil coloured area) in grey next time. This one is a fish, is it easier or more difficult to spot than the boot?

Spotlight Stencil

Another creative stamping card and another break from the cute too, I had seen someone use a stencil to create a spotlight and thought it looked cool, I should have used inks but copics are my go to so that’s what I went with. Now I know it’s a hiking boot in the background but I’m not sure you would have noticed that.

Something Sweet

Sometimes you just want to colour and this is one of those occasions, I had seen a card on the design team blog and thought it was perfect so if it ain’t broke don’t fix it lol.

Yay you did it

I have finally used the sunny studio stamp set I bought three years ago after watching a Jennifer McGuire video lol. Strangely though I do want to use the crayon now lol. I didn’t use all the layers as I realised that I was running out of time to send the card but now I’m seeing it again I do want to bust it out and use it again. Having the altenew cubes in sets really helped with the colours, so I highly recommend them.

Different Strokes

A different type of card for me but sometimes I like to mix it up. I’ve always been a fan of the creative stamping magazine and I couldn’t resist this one. I am still surprised I used it the same day I bought it lol. Everything else was already on my desk so it seemed natural to use it all lol.

Another Chapter Begins

Someone please explain to me how my neighbours little boy who was born yesterday is going to school!! He was born just before the first Covid lockdown, which meant he didn’t really see anyone except his parents and us over the garden fence. He’s a sociable little lad though and is such a pleasure to be around, hearing him shout my name over the fence asking me to play will never get old.

So naturally I had to make him a card for his first day at school, he of course loved school and couldn’t wait to go back.

Return of the Hat

There is something deeply satisfying about revisiting a past design and loving it more the second time around. I went with almost the same colours as last time but I decided to try a two tone hat and it definitely worked. Maybe I should try brighter colours next time though like a red.
