So another revisited idea, I was going to add the Mario to the switch die I have but I couldn’t find it in my craftroom move so I went with the same as I made previously, I can see this being a theme this year as the move has sapped my mojo and until the room is completed I don’t see it returning. I’m not moaning about the move but it has been more disruptive than I expected.
In the craftroom move you sometimes discover hidden gems and this background was one of those, I made it with tape and foil at an MFT retreat several years ago and I thought it deserved to be used not left in a drawer.
I made a card very similar when a friend moved house so I had already designed it on my cricut so it was easy to recreate for a throughly modern couple buying their first house.
Quick and simple card but sometimes the image does all the work and can I just say these rectangle dies are fabulous, I love the deckle edge and I might have been a bit obsessed lol.
I might have already made an almost identical card to this but I knew this person would love it and they did lol. Sometimes I revisit ok often I revisit cards I’ve already made and it helps to kickstart my mojo, I find the lead up to christmas means time is more precious so designing a layout etc is not on the agenda but colouring and making are.
Now this is an unusual card but it was for a guy who collect retro/vintage watches and during his birthday last year he received a Casio watch and he loved it so much that when I spotted this digi stamp I knew it was perfect, I even coloured it to match the vintage watch.
Another card made last year in fact this one is August, my friends daughter had a very big week, she passed her driving test, passed her A levels, got into her first choice University and turned 18, like I said quite a week and resulted in me making quite a few different cards so this one got missed lol.
I think this is the last of the christmas cards for 2024, posting them does make me want to make more and guess what I still have some cookies left lol.
I discovered a new to me designer and as we share a name I had to buy a few designs, I love the expressions on the little ones and will definitely be revisiting the store this year and in case you were wondering its "Amanda Jane Designs" on etsy
I took all these cookies to florida with me in November and I was cutting them all out not realising that I had miscalculated and didn't need half of them but I had coloured them and cut them so I decided to use them for my Friends christmas cards too.
This was my Mums card this year and I really think I might make more next year as I loved how it turned out
I need to apologise because I thought I had shown all of my 2024 christmas cards and then whilst uploading a birthday card photo I discovered loads on my camera, I know you probably don't want to see them but if I don't post them here I will forget I made them lol.
Another card using the same stencil but a very different image, I think it kind of looks like a sunset when turned this way so I went with it and grabbed an already made image and bush bash bosh it was finished.
This image is from a new to me company “Stamps by Me” and a range called Quattro d, it includes stamp, die, stencil and embossing folder although I didn’t use the enbossing folder as I was struggling to work out the sandwich on my ebosser and my big shot was buried in the moving room piles lol.
Another fairwee card and one only my American friends will truly understand as when I showed it to others they thought the Hershey kisses were bells lol.
The stencil I used was given to me by a friend from Florida who unfortunately passed away a few weeks after she gave this to me so everytime I use it I am reminded of her and her amazing smile that lit up a room.
When I am in the throws of Christmas card making my birthday cards become clean and simple but I still hope effective. I made this a while ago and now I am looking at it I want to make more which I think means I like it lol.
