Wedding Wishes

Its not very often I make wedding cards in fact I normally prefer to buy them as I find making them filled with pressure so why oh why did I make this one and the answer is I had just found the embossing folder and pearls and I thought why not lol.

99% Princess Probably

Sometimes an idea just appears and you have to run with it, this card is just that. I found some intricate colouring pages on creative fabrica and thought I wonder if they would work like a background and they absolutely do and I will definitely be doing this again. I wanted this stamp set for the longest time and now there is another variation that I need lol.

Unicorn Wishes

Another of the creative fabrica images but a totally different style of card, I made these in my new craftroom and I enjoyed it so much I couldnt wait to get back in there and make more.

Not sure how I have a room 4 times the size of my original room but I still can not fit everything in lol. I do have all my craft supplies in one place now though, they are no longer scattered throughout the house.

Border Collie Hello

I was searching Creative Fabrica for some backgrounds and I came across  a lot of digital stamps that were too cute to not print and use straight away, in fact i might have printed, coloured and made several different cards lol.

I was unsure of the thicker lines the images had but after seeing them here I think you don't notice the only thing you do notice is how cute the images are.

Blast Off Again

The other versions of the card I made in January, I try to match the images to the recipients and I had a blast making these too lol.

Tried and Tested

A tried and tested design and a stamp I love colouring are a match made in heaven, over the years I have coloured these images in a multitude of different colours and I don’t think I could pick a favourite either, although I am liking the pink and yellow colour scheme.

Beer Glass version 2

A different glass shape and a different sentiment and a new card is born, I did make quite a few of these and now have a stash of ready made guy cards. 

 

Beer Glass

This stamp was thankfully able to fit on my normal US A2 card size and I went with a style I’ve used before, I love the look of the spatter and spills. I love supporting UK companies but I do struggle with how large the stamps are sometimes and this set was no exception. Will that stop me buying, of course not but maybe I need to start using up some of my mountain of larger card bases…

 

Metallic Pencils are Fabulous

In a previous post I mentioned I had made more with the B&M pencils and here it is in all its glory, I am not sure why I hadn’t used this MFT set before but I am hoping it’s not long before I use it again.

I also think I need more sentiment stamp sets that cut the words out like a bubble, I am loving being able to stack them to make them more prominent

Monochrome Blender Brushes

If you have seen my previous posts with this design you will have noticed the evolution of the design. This time I went for shades of the same colour and I had to make a purple version for my friend Kathy, There may be more to come as I am obsessed lol.

Funky Fossil

Not my normal style or my normal photography style either but try as I might I couldn’t capture the shine from the colouring unless I laid the card down. 

A while ago I purchased a papercraft society box from craftstash and this was the first time I used it, I really should try and use stuff more lol. I also purchased a set of metallic pencils from B&M for £3 for 12 so I wasn’t expecting miracles but they are stunning, so vibrant and blend like a dream. I might have made more with them already lol. 

 

Mother's Day 2025

You could be forgiven for thinking this was for the US Mother’s Day but in fact it was for the UK one in March I had just forgotten to show it here. The new 7x5 dies made an outing again, very obsessed with them lol. 

I also used one of the lili of the valley digi stamps and thankfully my mum loved it so that’s all that matters really.

Beer Bottles

So my new 7x5 dies arrived and wow they are amazing, I was surprised by how many I got especially as I only paid £5 for them from craftstash…I will definitely miss that store.

Apart from the new dies and using black instead of brown card panels these cards are the same as the previous one I made. I’m not sure if I like the brown bottles or the green more.

Gamer Ian

If you thought this looked like the big six version 1 you would be correct, I made a batch of them all at the same time and I thought this would be perfect for those teenage gamer boys

Blender Brushes

After making the rainbow version I had a brain wave, why not make them portrait and smaller cross sections of the rainbow, I had so much fun making these and I really want to make lots more.

Buckle Up

I realised that I didn't use these cars last year when I batch made the guy cards so of course I had to make use of them this year. Its such a simple design but thats all most of the guys I make cards for want.

Coffee Mouse

Not the direction I was originally going with this card but I do like how it turned out, I bought a specific stamp set just for this sentiment so I had to use it. The stamp was going to be a cat but I realised I’ve made a lot and I mean a lot of cat cards for this very good friend so I thought let’s try something the cat catches instead lol.

Hoppy Birthday Version 1

This is the first version of this card, there will be others but I am waiting for my 7x5 dies to arrive. I have discovered I can no longer cut anything straight on my own lol. As these images are UK they are too large for my normal US A2 cards so I needed a larger version and 7x5 is about as large as I can handle lol. 

I was going to create the background by ink blending and splatter but I discovered creative fabrica has tons of backing papers and this one fitted the bill perfectly lol.

Big birthday girl 2025

I don’t have many big birthdays this year but I needed a card for a 60 so I went with one of the designs I used last year. I think 2024 broke me with how many big birthdays there were so it will take a while to recover lol.

Tiddlyinks Panda Girl

The lady that started my crafty journey is as obsessed with Pandas as I am so I am surprised I have never used this stamp for her before. Her favourite colour is green so if you look back through my blog you will notice a pattern.

Swinging By

As promised the last of these for a while, this isn't the digital version though its a real stamp and I am ashamed to admit it has never seen ink before. I went with the same style as the crafty gems version although I did use a different stripe die plate.

Determined Golfer

I have this one and one more to show and then I was out of the obsession, well for a little while anyway. With over 600 of these images I will be definitely using them again.

Golf Swing

Another day another lili of the valley card, I am sure you will have noticed the theme, this one however is larger than the stamp size which made it so much easier to colour.

Chilling Gent

I was in my Lili of the valley obsession era when I made this and the subsequent cards lol. I do prefer the digital version but I do need someone to tell me why I still seem to make them the same size as if they were physical stamps lol. 

The Big Six Version 1

I loved this image as soon as I saw it and I might have persuaded the owner of the Greeting Farm to make the boy one available too lol. I had so much fun colouring this that the design of the card ended up being fairly simple so that the image could steal the show. 

 

Big Birthday

I might have made a few of these last year but sometimes the design is perfect for someone that got a different design last year so of course I had to remake it, lately I seem to be remaking a lot and I do think that after as many years as I have been making cards that is going to happen but I do feel I am stuck in a rut.

It’s not easy being cheesy

I wanted this stamp set as soon as I saw it and strangely it looks exactly as I expected and that never happens lol.

Rainbow Blender Brushes

This was the original version (more will be coming soon) and it started another of my obsessions lol, I went rainbow and loved how it turned out. Seeing this again is making me want to make more 

Big Birthday 2025

This year there aren’t very many big birthdays well not as many as last year anyway, I was going to do a shaped card but the eclipse won. 

I have been on a real colouring kick lately and I’ve been enjoying it a lot too. 

I can’t believe I started making cards the year this young man was born, I think I’ve made him a card for most of his birthdays, at the start of my card making journey I didn’t make to give just for the pleasure of making and it took a while to discover copics and colouring and then I wanted to make cards for all my family and friends.

Daffodil Delight

As most of my family are Welsh and daffodils are the national flower expect to see them often on this blog lol. Craftstash had a sale and this was one of the items I purchased and I forgot that craftstash stamps are on the larger side but I made it work.

I also cut a background from Sugar Pea  that I have had for a while, I do like using stuff when I find it on this craftroom reorganise.

What do you make the man who has everything

Another day another revisited design, sometimes I think if something works why try to reinvent the wheel. I did change the die shape and I really do like these decked edge rectangles ( expect to see many more lol) they add so much interest to a simple card. The spotlight sentiment from MFT is an old favourite too and I might have made several more in a similar style lol.

I do find making cards for people who don’t drink and don’t have hobbies more difficult than I thought I would, it’s so much easier if they like golf or cars lol. 

LOTV Make - up

At the same time as I printed the shopping ones I also printed the make up table version, I started using a lacy die but I didn’t like it as much as I had hoped so I went through my stax and found the arched dies from MFT which I am ashamed to say I haven’t used in forever.

This is a very different card from me and involved no colouring, when LOTV lili of the valley had their special offer I also purchased the pre printed version so that I could make some quicker cards, I do think that it works but I’m not sure they were much quicker to be honest lol. I made 4 of this design as the sheets print 4 images per page. 

A different big birthday

A very different big birthday card this time, I’ve used the eclipse and shaped version for this family previously so I knew I needed something different and I saw this design out on Instagram and thought it worked perfectly, I wish I had saved who made it though so I could give credit where it’s due.

This is definitely one I will use again and just changing the colour will make it look so different

Window Scene

I bought this magazine just to make this card, I had an idea and for once it worked exactly like I envisioned it. Of course once I had made the scene I had no idea what to do next so I went simple so the scene stands out. I really want to make more but it was quite the labour of love. 

On the Farm

It’s almost Mother’s Day and I am just posting my mums birthday card from December, I wanted the image to stand out but I also wanted a background too, I went with one from creative fabrica and it worked a treat, I need to remember to do this more often as it really makes the coloured image pop.

First Birthday Boy

How weird that I am posting this little ones card on their grandma’s birthday! I went with a tried and tested design and I don’t know why but the papers printed brighter this time and I really like it. 

This was the only little one born in 2024 and there were none in 2023 in amongst my family and friends and hopefully there will be more in 2025.

Blast Off

Another card using older supplies, I found the astronaut stamp when I found the airplane one so I had to use him, in fact I have made several versions of this card for all the little boys turning 5. I wasn’t sure how to put the card together when I remembered the moon background stamp and that made the perfect addition.
