In the summer I was on a roll with creative fabrica images and I saw this and thought of my friend so of course it made its way onto a card.
Can you believe it’s almost 2026….. this year has flown by hasn’t it.

Another of the images from Creative Fabrica and this one just had to be made into a card for my crafty friend Kathleen, I designed and cut the stencil on my cricut which helped as I had the mask too.
I made an almost identical version of this last year and I thought why not make it again, I was running out iof time and ideas and in full on christmas mode so I knew I wouldn't be able to come up with a whole new design and I think I should have made more lol.
You might recognise this design from much earlier in the year and that is because I was showing my friend the cards during a video chat and she asked for her birthday card to be a teal version lol.
I was running out of cards to share so I thought I would split off the pink one and save it for today. I hope you are all ready, I am finally. The turkey and all the food is in the fridge and I am sat watching Arthur Christmas with a huge hot chocolate, so the only thing left to say is I hope you all get lots of presents, lovely food and quality family time.
When I printed the other mugs I had room on the sheet of paper for a few more with no intention of using them but once I had made the other cards I thought these deserved to be made into cards too. I used the same elements and even mostly the same colours.
Sweet November stamps have some of the cutest images and I am always in awe of the cards Amy and the design team create, I have used their cards as inspiration but as usual I have gone my own way a bit and yes I am addicted to the deckle rectangle dies I bought from craftstash lol.
I discovered this wonderful digi stamp shop last year and I wanted to support them again so I went with the peeking fireplace set, I had a blast colouring these and I have printed the elf one ready to make for next year. I went to link the store to my post and discovered they are closing at the end of the year, they have a closing down sale and I might have bought the entire range, totally sad that there won’t be more though ☹️
As a lover of hot chocolate I couldn't resist these mugs from Lili of the Valley, I had no idea how I was going to use them but I hadn't coloured much until then so I wanted to give a different style a try and I really like the simple look of these cards,
Another die I bought last year and have only just used, of course now they have released a birthday version which I have to have lol.
And I could not leave it without trying several more paper pads and each time I loved the results, so easy but still handmade and with love too.
The saying once you pop you can't stop was so true with this die, after making the card with the leftovers and red stamped die cut I thought what about patterned paper and I had a pad I had not opened so I tried it and loved the effect, in fact I think this will be my posting card next year.
When I said yesterday the words weren't wasted I wasn't kidding, I stacked them and added a stamped and die cut red one on top and made a clean, simple but effective card.
I had to have this set from Kristina Werner and of course I had to try my striped background, I made several versions and the stripes seemed to get straighter on each try. It was such an easy and quick card to make and of course the word die cut wasnt wasted either.
I made this card and indeed wrote this blogpost way back in March when I made the other daffodil delight card, i used a different background die as the other one was a bit of a nightmare and I had also just found this one amongst my stuff lol. I also prefer the sentiment on this one, card making is definitely an evolving breathing thing to me.
I bought a magazine because this stamp and die set from Altenew was the free gift. This wasn't the card I set out to make but I was running out of time so I went with a quick and easy option.
Normally you see these cards just after each of their birthdays but this time there wasn't enough differences to make a blogpost for each one so I saved them all until after the last birthday. I did enjoy making them all and I hope they all enjoyed receiving them too.
I try and make something different for my Mum's birthday but this time I went with a technique I tried years ago, I don't think I was as successful as I was before and I totally forgot to colour the bottom image but I did enjoy making it and of course the cats look like hers lol.
The last elf hats for 2025, I do think I will use this die set again as it did get much easier as time went on.
I made this a little while after the one I showed yesterday but I still found them trickier than I expected, maybe its because I am not a die cut girl, I love to colour although this christmas that has been in short supply.
I can't believe it is the 8th already, this month well actually this year has whizzed by.
This was the first christmas card I made in 2025 and i was trying out a new set of dies that are postage edged, I do like them and I should have used them more but maybe next year will be their year.
This die set was one that looked easier than it was, its not difficult but it was trickier than I expected, still I did use it several times.
