LOTV Challenge

Hello All, I didn't get much crafty time this weekend as was away most of the week with work and spent the rest of my time playing catch up. I would normally have left the dreaded HW but I have guests arriving on Tuesday so didn't have a choice lol. I loved colouring this in and I may have to invest in the other cake making mices. I started to use the LOTV Challenge sketch but forgot several of the elements so can't enter it now, doh :)

I used some of the mountain of scraps currently taking over my craftroom and I think this may become a familiar Sunday activity inspired by Jules.

A LOTV card

Since my trip to the playday in Bristol I have been itching to stamp, looks like Sue has started another obsession lol. I bought two LOTV stamps that I have been lovingly looking at since they were released. I stamped it in black and coloured it in but it didn't match with the papers so I stamped it again this time using ivory card and a pearlescent beige and I liked it so much I didn't even colour it. I made this card early in the morning so couldn't use my printer or I would have woken the whole house, and my peace would have been shattered so I used bits from a craftwork cards goody bag (bought several when they were on special offer and am ashamed to say this is the first time I have used any of it except the candi)

I hope you like it and also my friend who will be the recipient hopefully in time for her birthday.

Almost the same card

I haven't really ever made an almost identical card before, well not from one of my own anyway. My friend saw the card I made for my hubbie and wanted one almost the same for her son. I used a different paper as he is only in his early twenties and wasn't even alive when we were all playing space invaders lol.

Coloured with copics and I must say s much fun to colour, used one of my precious eyelet outlet brads as well.

Playday - So much fun

I went to my first ever crafty playday yesterday and I must say I had the most fun ever. It was so great to be amongst like minded people and to be able to share stories and swap ideas. I was a bit nervous in joining the group but I had so much fun and they were so friendly. The group are going to meet once a month to create a project and I can't wait for the next one.

If you live in the Bristol area or are a member of docrafts take a look on the site and maybe come along next month.

My first ever sympathy card

Hello Everyone, I am sorry I have been absent from the blogging world, after being off with a virus I am back to work fulltime and am absolutely shattered when I get home lol. I seem to have lost my mojo which is a problem as I have several cards all needed before next week.

Anyway onto the card, its the first time I have made a sympathy card and hopefully the last, my good friend in work lost a member of her family and she wanted to be able to add her own words inside so she asked if I would make her a card. I used a lovely calla lilly image from digi doodles such a great image to colour, I kept the colouring lighter and less defined than normal as this is a card for a sad occasion.I used pink petticoat silver washed damask for the cross to give it a bit of pattern and paper pieced the flowers over it .I used pink petticoat silver washed damask for the cross to give it a bit of pattern and paper pieced the flowers over it .

Not much else to say really, bit of embossing and silver card and it was finished, I hope she likes it.
