Sewing Peep

I can't believe I have had this stamp so long and its just been inked, I feel like I say that a lot but I get caught up in the must have this and never get round to the must use this lol. I made this card for my cousin who used to sew a lot, she doesn't as much now but it still reminded me of her. I actually bought the needle die to use with this stamp and actually remembered I had it before I posted the card....a minor miracle....does anyone else do this or am i alone.

Anywho on to the card, not much to say except I used my new wink of luna on the needle and it is lovely and luxurious in real life, this was another of those have to have items but not sure now I have it how much use it will get.

This is the third set of mini cards and slightly different to the other two. I have used a retired set from Stampin up called "dinoroar" when I bought this i hadn't realised how dinky the images where and have struggled to make normal sized cards but once I discovered the 3.5 inch size there is no stopping me.

Happy Birthday Jane

Jane is one of the wonderful Bristol play day ladies and someone I am proud to call my friend, we have shared a lot over the last three years and long may that continue. Jane even made the long journey alone to Florida to join me at the MFT retreat, I am hoping she wants to come along next year as well as I really enjoyed her company.

I am so glad I plucked up the courage to go to the first play day as I have made some fantastic friends and they cheer me up on the darkest of days.

Jane is known for not making the many projects that Sue designs, in fact she brings her knitting a lot lol, so when I saw this image I knew exactly who it was for. I decorated the inside as at the mft retreat we were both impresssed by the cards Jodi designed.

Mini Cards Set 2

This is the second of four sets I recently made and again I have used stamps I bought from Natalie, this was a set I had wanted ages ago but I hadn't been able to get hold of the magazine when they were a free gift. I think I have all of the Adam Prescott sets now, at least I hope I'm not missing any, they are so cute and suit this tiny 3.5 inch card perfectly.

I made another envelope box but this time I used my mft cloud stax die to cut the aperture, I like the look this gives and it allows the recipient to peek inside at the goodies.

The cards all follow the same theme, I started with the balloon one and the clouds sort of fitted so I went from there, originally the balloon one wasn't grounded but he looked odd so I cut a piece of green paper into a hill shape, the green was a bit bright so I distressed it with my peeled paint ink and it looks much better.

Mini Cards Set 1

I was inspired by the lovely Jules to make some cute little cards, I recently bought this stamp set from Natalie and couldn't wait to start making. I found that once I'd made one card I couldn't stop so I ended up making three more.

I made a cute little box to hold them all and used the tutorial by Jennifer McGuire as a starting point and my very well used envelope punch board, this was much easier and quicker than a traditional box and much cuter too. I cut an aperture with my mft blueprint circle and put a bit of acetate behind to create a window. I got a bit carried away and have made 4 of these little sets which I'm going to give as christmas presents to my non crafty friends.
