Amazing Tween Card

I started the 30 day colouring challenge on the 1st September and made a challenge to myself to make the images into cards rather than just sit in a box unloved. These were the first images and I made a card the same day. Hopefully this will continue.

The design is fairly simple as I wanted the sentiment and images to be the focus. I did discover that I don't own any square trio dies only the interactive one, which worked as I cut the scored edge with a knife and ruler but I might have to go looking, not that is was difficult to be honest but I'm all about the convenience lol.

Ingredients
Image: "tween time" Clearly Besotted
Sentiment: "bold sentiments" MFT, smoke ink from Simon Says Stamp and raspberry Fizz from Papertrey Ink
Card: "110lb and 65lb white from Recollections at Michaels
Paper: "bonnets and bowties" Nit Wit
Dies: Blueprints 13 and ditched interactive window trio all mft

Growing Up is Optional

A friend of ours is celebrating a birthday and as I say this sentiment to his son to describe him all the time it seemed fitting to use it on his card, he isn't that old but you can only really send images like this to people who don't look like it lol.

Its a fairly simple design as I didn't have a lot of time or mojo but I'm pleased with how it turned out.

Up We Go

This is another of the Florida stamp purchases and I am so glad I persevered and found all the Mama Elephant mini sets, I still have two sets to use but I am determined to use them before I put them away.

This card is fairly simple and I haven't used the dies to cut it out, I did find the dies leave a larger white border than I expected and I am not sure I like that lol.

Dos Amigos

Another inspired by Nichol Sphor card, I have had this idea in my head since I bought the stamps in Florida, it took the mojo challenge to kick start my creativity and actually make the card though. I have quite a few ideas of cards I want to make but my issue is they aren't the cards I need lol. So the age old dilemma do I strike whilst the iron is hot and make what I want or put that aside and make what I need lol.

Final Mojo Challenge

As the title suggests this is my final mojo challenge using the making cards magazine, however I might do this again in the future as I enjoyed it so much and also it helped reduce the amount of stuff I have.

Ingredients

Card: Micheals recollections white 65lb and 110lb
Dies: Crealies inside out stitched circles and mft scalloped stitched frame (leftover from previous card), backgrounds present from a friend.
Sentiment: "labels" Craftwork Cards

Mojo Challenge 4

Two more cards from that same Making Cards Magazine, this time I went with square cards as the images were considerably larger and would have filled an a2 with no space to spare.

I am more impressed with myself than I can possibly tell you that I have made these cards, with stuff and styles that are not my normal go to's. You never know this might even happen again.

Ingredients
Image and Paper: Making cards Magazine
Dies: Crealies XXL Square and cross stitch rectangle from MFT
Card: "Harvest Gold" Papertrey Ink

Roadtrip

The list of ingredients for this card is low but that is outweighed by the copic list lol. I recently saw a video by Kelly Latevola where she built a scene and I thought wow she makes that look easy but I bet it isn't. Well it isn't as difficult as I thought and definitely more fun than I expected. Of course there is no perspective on mine but for my first attempt I am more than happy.

I drew the hills and the road myself. I used my T-square ruler for the road but the hills are freehand. I don't think I am ready for a full on scene card but you never know lol.

Mojo Challenge 3

Another instalment of the mojo challenge. I am only left with about four images and I know I want to make cards with those but I am inspired now to get on with other types of crafting as well. I haven't felt that way in a while so this exercise was truly worthwhile and will get repeated again if I find myself in this position again.

I haven't put any sentiments on these ones as I don't know what I am going to use them for yet.

Mojo Challenge 2

This is my second mojo challenge post and again I have included two cards. It has definitely reinvigorated my mojo and I don't have many of the images left to use either. Hopefully I will use them all as that would be a first for me.

So today I was inspired by the cards made in the magazine by the design team. I haven't followed any exactly but it gave me a starting point. I had forgotten how much an embossed background makes a card pop.

Paper: "making cards" magazine
Dies: blueprints 1, 2 and 3 and basic border scalloped edges 2 all MFT and "happy birthday" from Dovecraft

Mojo Challenge

I have mentioned previously that I am struggling with my mojo, I am trying very hard to remedy this and I thought one way might be to challenge myself to use new stuff as soon as it arrives. I only subscribe to one magazine "making cards" and as soon as this arrived I decided I was going to use the pre-printed elements to make a few quick cards. I have made a few so far and have plans for a few more. I actually enjoyed this and I now if I hadn't made the decision I would never have used any of these elements. Every image was mounted onto white card and cut out, the paper whilst a lovely quality isn't strong enough for the images without assistance.

I am going to spread the cards over a few days so as not to bore you in one go lol.

Todays offering uses both the papers and elements from the magazine, I cut the papers using a border die and used both sets of papers to make two cards, this was so much easier and quick way to do this, why haven't I used this before lol.

Manatee Mischief

I think this is the first card in a long time that has no MFT products on it. I have so much MFT stuff that it is impossible to ascertain how this card has none lol.

I bought the hero art Manatee stamp set on my recent florida visit as I thought it would be perfect for my floridian friends and the Clearly Besotted came out with an even cuter one so I went from no Manatee stamp sets to two lol.
