This is a new to me stamp company and one I saw in person way back in May at the scrapbook expo in Orlando. I thought this image of the lady with a copic would be perfect for a lot of my crafty friends and although this is the first time I have used her it won't be the last.
It’s the last day of 2023 and what a rollercoaster of a year it has been, here’s to 2024 and I’m not going to say it will be better but please don’t let it be worse.
The final big birthday is a fellow crafter and an amazing colourist so what better image to use than someone colouring with copics.
I have used my tried and tested big numbers again and it was actually this good friend who introduced me to this design before I even had a cricut. She very kindly cut a 70 for my Mums big birthday in 2019 and it was that design that inspired my hubbie to buy me a machine.
Only one thing left to say and thats "Happy Birthday Kathleen" hope you have a fabulous day.
I just wanted to say I hope everyone had a lovely Christmas and Boxing Day, I truly appreciate everyone who pops by and reads my little posts and sees my cards and creations, this means the world to me.
How is it Christmas Eve already? It feels like this month has flown by and dragged at the same time lol.
I hope you are all ready for the big guy to arrive tonight, I am finally there and everything is clean, food is bought, presents are wrapped, stockings are stuffed and I am knackered lol. The level of excitement from my friends little boy has kept me going this year, it’s magical to see this season through an almost 4 year olds eyes.
Anyway enough waffling, here’s the card, I know I said it was the last one yesterday but I randomly found this photo and thought I would never remember I made it if I didn’t post it on here, also not sure how but I didn’t take photos of the other Florida cards….something to work on next year lol.

Almost there, I apologise that my last few posts have lacked that Christmas spirit and joy, it’s been a strange time and the first time you do anything without someone is always hard.
But you came here to see a card and see a card you shall, it might even look similar to yesterdays and that is because it is. I had shown my mum the cards I made for my aunts and uncle and she liked them so I decided why reinvent the wheel. I was originally going to colour the image and then I thought she would like it more heat embossed so that’s what I did.
Today is Christmas Adam in our house (cos Adam came before Eve) so it’s a movie, hot chocolate, last minute panic sort of day lol.
I always make my mums two younger brothers a different card to my other aunts and uncles as they aren’t much older than me (more like big brothers than uncles) and this year I had a specific idea in mind as the older of the two is obsessed with nature, unfortunately he passed away around Halloween, it was unexpected, heartbreaking and obviously sapped my creativity. I had already made most of the other cards so I decided to go a different way for the remaining uncles card as nature isn’t his thing. I was searching for a sentiment and spotted this design and I thought it’s perfect, I kind of used a similar layout to the other cards and the same colour cardstock but went with silver rather than gold embossing.
Another unused stamp set another day closer to Christmas. This set was a stamptember Colorado craft set and I have no idea what year as I didn’t label the pocket.
I am hoping by the time this publishes I will have finished all my wrapping, it’s been a mammoth task this year and definitely making me rethink wrapping all the stocking stuffers lol.
I made a few of this design in 2020 but I hadn’t used all the different images so I thought why not recreate it and use the ones I hadn’t previously. I must say the elf is uber cute lol
Can you believe it’s the 20th already. I have only just returned from a quick trip to Florida and the jet lag is kicking my butt. I am so glad I was organised with my Christmas cards this year and I already have several ideas for next year already lol.
This card got its own post because I decided to ink the ground to look like snow and decided I preferred the green for the other images. I do think green wouldn’t have worked for a penguin though lol.
Another cricut design and another reduced clearly besotted set. I liked the shape of this background piece and decided to cut it on the cricut, this option has meant I can create it whatever size I want and I love that. No I don’t work for cricut and neither am I on commission I am just a very satisfied customer.
Not much else to say except the big day is fast approaching and I hope you are all ready, am I well that’s a big fat nope lol. Despite having most of my gifts bought and wrapped before the start of November I seem to have lost my mojo and the last little bits have taken me forever to organise.
Normally the cards for my Floridian friends are the first I make as they have the farthest to travel but as I was supposed to be in Florida for December I didn’t make them first, unfortunately due to a family tragedy we had to cancel the trip and I am only glad I didn’t add lots of layers like I was going to.
I saw this design from Rachelle Ann Miller and knew I had to have it, in fact I bought all four she released at the same time. Expect to see those over the next few days.
This is another of the distress oxide spray backgrounds but completely different images, my friend is mad on bees and even has her own hive so when I saw this set from clearly besotted was reduced it needed to be bought and used.
It felt nice to do some copic colouring and I like how it turned out but it was a one and done card although I could see me using it again
In May I attended the scrapbook expo and one of the stands was selling stamps and dies from photoplay for $10, I fell in love with the Santa from this set and had to have it.
I did make two versions of this card and once the images were coloured it made sense to add it to the distress oxide background, I still can’t believe how many of these backgrounds I created lol.
I had the pink petticoat papers on my desk and all the supplies from the marshmallow cards so I decided to use them on this card. The bear was coloured a while ago and I was so surprised the papers matched so well.
Another card made and I am starting to see light at the end of the tunnel, this year has been a challenging one on a personal level so I am pleased I managed to get the cards made at all.
I fell in love with this stamptember design from Pink and Main and I thank my lucky stars I was able to get it. I might have even bought this years version too lol.
I saw someone colour the marshmallows like they were toasted and I had to give it a try, I really like how they came out and will definitely be using the same technique again.
It’s a fairly simple design card but I wanted the images to be the stars so I went with a tried and tested design and a pink petticoat patterned paper which of course means I’m not using my already printed papers lol.
The month is progressing along nicely and most of my prep is done so I am enjoying the movie watching and hot chocolate drinking lol.
I have been using my Cricut more and more and since I joined a monthly in person craft group where we use our machines I have been inspired to make even more things.
I wanted a bauble for the images to sit on and my first thought was my cricut, I designed the bauble myself and even added the snow layers. Even the sentiment was created in design space, I do like the print and cut option but I wish it was more of a true black.
I wanted the background to look like it was part of the Christmas tree so I used distress oxide spray in rustic wilderness. I made about 60 backgrounds and used the entire bottle, I even managed to drip the spray all over my cream kitchen chairs….thank heavens it is water soluble and it came out without leaving a mark. Originally I was embossing the background with a spellbinders folder but I soon realised once the spray was added you couldn’t tell it was embossed so I dropped that stage.
I loved the sprays and couldn’t believe how easy and quick they were. I would recommend a plastic box to spray them in as the cardboard I used become very saturated and I think that is what caused the drip onto the chair. I have bought another bottle of the rustic wilderness and I might have to get more colours too.
The second version of the card and this time a little girl and a different Santa expression . See I said it was a versatile set, it’s also a huge set and so easy to colour.
I made this little girl look like my friends little one and the Welsh merry Christmas is a nod to the fact we are both Welsh women living in the middle of England lol.
This stamp set from Sweet November Stamps was a gift to myself for my birthday, have you ever wanted a stamp set so much you dream about it. Me neither until this set, I only got to use it twice but I can see it being used over and over again as you can make the Santa and kiddos different each time.
I made this one look like my neighbours little boy and it even captured his excitement, although after seeing the pictures of him actually meeting the guy in the red suit I think trepidation might have been more apt lol.
I normally try and create an elegant design for my Aunts and Uncles and normally Gina K comes through and this time is no exception. I love this set and although I’ve only used one of the designs I think I might need to make more.
Maybe the last of these at least for now, they have been my go to posting card this year and I’ve really enjoyed creating them.
Another day another jumble colour scheme lol. This time I used a new paper pad from home bargains, I love all the foil and maybe I should have bought more.
This might be my favourite colour scheme, its subtle but lovely. I did watch Elf and drink the raspberry hot chocolate although it was nice it was too sweet for me so back to my boring milk chocolate version today. I am thinking I like this daily movie thing but I have no idea what one to watch....any ideas greatly received.
Third day and I bet you are wondering if I watched the movie and yes I did, today I think it might have to be "ELF" and raspberry ripple hot chocolate, yum yum.
Its the 2nd of December and todays offering is the red version of the Merry Christmas Jumble, not much to say except I am sat eating my advent chocolate thinking about watching "Arthur Christmas" with a hot chocolate lol.
