A few thank you cards

Hello All

Well I have been creating, finally I hear you say, I returned to the scene of the crime though lol. When I first started crafting I loved decoupage and would sit for hours cutting and sticking them together, that didn't change until I found my copics and my love of digi and now real stamps began.

Like most my first stamps were penny black but I could never colour them in so they got resigned to the back of the drawer and I had forgotten I had them until I was looking for a sentiment stamp and found a pile of them. So the first of my cards today is using a penny black clear stamp, not sure which set but it is too cute. The papers were in my snippet drawer so I am entering Di's snippet challenge with it. Sorry about the really bad picture i hadn't realised how much the colours were out but it is too late now as it is already in the post.

My second card is using the Forever Friends Black and Gold CD (unbelievably free with a magazine) I used the decoupage and papers from the cd for this. I have never really been a fan of cd crafting, too much faffing for me but this cd is so easy to use it practically uses itself.

Thanks for looking
Amanda

Wow this year is whizzing past

Hello everyone, this year is certainly spinning by. I seemed to have blinked and it is almost the end of February lol. I have been making a few cards but not many, so this week I decided to enter a challenge to see if this got me out of my creative rut.

I used an image from my new CD "The Next Big Thing" from Just Inklined. I am not normally a fan of CD's especially as I have a mac and most don't work on it, but this is the exception. It doesn't run automatically on my mac but I have to say it is well worth the money. Full of digi stamps, decoupage and coloured digis I think i will have enough to keep me going for a while.

So onto the card, I used the football image form the digi prints section (also printed the rugby one and cant wait to use it too) coloured with my copics and no glossy accents in sight.

Ingredients

Papers: Summer Driggs "Freedom ain't Free"
Cardstock: "Cherry Cobbler" Stampin Up and Papermill "Navy"

Not MIA but Mojo-less

Hello, sorry for my missing status lately, life sometimes gets in the way of crafting lol. Hopefully things will get better soon, still been making cards (although to be honest they all look the same) but my camera disappeared so have had to scan these ones in. Having new carpet in my bedroom so had to empty the room and everything got dumped everywhere lol, I am sure it is here somewhere lol.

Anyway onto the card, I used the aa video bay from Mo and loved colouring this one, I had to use bright blue and was so surprised the papers matched so well. I bought both of the variations of this stamp and can see me going back to get the girl version too.

Ingredients
Image: "Video Boy aa" Mo's Digital Pencil
Papers: "Extreme Boys" 300dpi (DCWV Digital Site)
Brads: From stash, no idea where from
Cardstock: "Fresh Paint" Target

Waste Not Wednesdays - New Challenge

Well I have made a card for Lisa's new challenge, it isn't a challenge blog just a challenge to herself to use her uninked and unprinted stamps and digis. I know we are all guilty of buying something pretty and then never using it so I thought i would join in and I have used a previously uninked stamp. I bought this in the summer so not so long ago but I knew that it would probably have sat in my draw for a while if I hadn't decided to take part in this challenge. Now I have inked it of course I remembered why I bought it and had a blast colouring it.

I made a bit of a mistake when colouring his horns so decided to cover them with fuzzy fur and they look much better and also feel fab too. He is glossy accented to within an inch of his life too.

Chocolate Mice

I think I am obsessed lol, if I see a stamp with chocolate on I feel the need to buy it but if it has mice and chocolate I find it impossible to resist. I have penny black, lili of the valley, mouse house and now hot diggity dog as well, where will it end lol.

This card was made entirely from snippets, from the card the image is stamped on to the card blank all found in the snippet draw so I feel that I can enter into Di's first snippet challenge.

The chocolates are from an old Daisie Company kit and I found them all printed and ready to go in my paper draw. A quick cut out and glossy accent and perfect embellishments.

As I have said before I seem to have a lot of chocolate themed items and this sentiment was bought from Elzybells before they closed, I also bought the chocolate brilliance ink just for the name....chocoholics anonymous anyone......

Sentiment: Elzybells
Papers: Pink Petticoat Snippets
Card: No idea was in the snippet draw

2012 Already

Wow it is hard to believe it is 2012 already, seems like only yesterday I was starting this blog.

Today's card is for my cousin who celebrates her 29th Birthday today, I can still remember the film I was watching when we got the call to say she had arrived. The film was "Towering Inferno" if you were wondering lol.

Anyway onto the card, I bought one of those small sewing machines from Instore/Poundstretcher and this is my first attempt using it. I know I have covered up most of the sewing but if you could see it you would understand why lol. Not the fault of the machine which is fab by the way but more the operator. More practice is required I think.

Happy New Year and a card

Happy 2012 to everyone, hope you are all feeling great this morning and there is no lingering hangover lol. Quiet evening here, takeaway curry and a few glasses of wine and feel bright and cheery this morning.

Has anyone made any new years resolutions....I did last year and wasn't very good at sticking to them so none from me this year lol.

Anyway onto the card, made for my Aunt whose birthday is tomorrow, no chance of her spotting it though as she doesn't even surf.

Ingredients:
Image: Fizzy Moon Stamp (ashamed to say had for a while and never used)
Papers: "Apron Strings" Raspberry Road
Cardstock: recycled again coloured using copics
Sentiment: Pollycraft freebie (used these so much)
