Mojo, mojo wherefore art though Mojo

Well why is it when I have lots of time to craft my mojo goes on holiday lol. I thought I would get a head start on next months birthdays but mojo had other ideas. I did manage to play quite a bit on Friday but since then I have only sat and stared at the mountains of stuff I have.

I did manage a car boot sale this weekend and even managed to buy a stamp but even that didn't help the inspiration flow. It is a lovely stamp as well my first Mouse House or House Mouse can't remember which way it is now lol. It is an oldie but goldie having been made in 1999 and has two mices in a chocolate box too cute for words. I eventually after much deliberation, stuff in the bin etc made this very plain card. Oh well at least it is made and I like the image and papers separate if not together lol.

Totally case'd less is More

Hello All, I have combine two crafters cards to create my first entry into the Less is More challenge. I have always admired Kerry's style but never been able to achieve it myself so decided to case one of her designs but wasn't sure which image to use until I saw Kay's creation, I immediately went and bought the image and made this card.

Just wanted to say a very big thank you to both ladies for the inspiration.

Spiderman, Spiderman does whatever a spider can....

Morning All on this lovely Monday morning, now you won't hear me say lovely Monday morning very often but it certainly is when it is a bank holiday. Hope you all had a lovely easter and spent time with your loved ones.

I have been making cards, not for anyone or anything in particular but just because I wanted to lol. I have finally learnt how to do the out of the box technique and it is so much fun I may have to use it a lot.

This card is made with a digi from whiff of joy, it was a freebie nearly a year ago and I have only used it once before...shame on me...cos it is such a joy to colour. Just checked the website and they have a digi section....off to purchase a few more...hopefully before hubbie wakes up lol.

Fairly Simple Snippets

I think I have used a lot of stuff from different places on this card. Jules will be pleased to know that they were all snippets lol. I did cut into the remains of an A4 sheet for the backing card but it was still in my snippet box lol. I wish I could make cards without images, I see some lovely creations with the sentiment as the focal point but when I try to make them they look naked. I have challenged myself to make at least two cards each day on this fantastic long weekend and I may even try the CAS look.

I have used lots of stickles on her wings and it is really sparkly irl.

Hey What's Cooking

Hello, Happy Easter everyone, I spent yesterday in my craftroom and I thoroughly enjoyed myself. Lately there hasn't been as much crafting time available and this kinda made up for it. I coloured this gorgeous image from Mo and really wanted to colour her dress red then realised I didn't have any matching paper lol. I used my trusty Pink Petticoat to rescue this card, whilst searching for a matching card I came across one that will make a great card if I had only coloured her dress pink, typical. Will show you that one as soon as I have finished it. Lots of glossy accents on this card, I seem to go through stages with glossy accents - all or nothing lol.

I have been looking at the gorgeous creations from Vixx and love her use of Pink Petticoat papers so decided to dig out some of mine and you will be seeing more of them over the next few days lol.

Chester - cheeky little monkey

I have made a retro inspired card using retro chester from pollycraft. As soon as I saw it I knew which papers I was going to use. I love that all the big paper companies are now also doing digital papers, you can print them the size you want and when you want, perfect.

I used some of fast expiring papermill cardstock, I miss the shops, I would pop in about three/four times a year and buy a couple of boxes, you never knew what colours would be available and I always seemed to use the colour I didn't get much of more than any other lol.

I used lots of glossy accents on the tape but it is hard to see on the picture.

Video Boy

Hello All, I loved this image as soon as I saw it but it has taken me a while to actually use it. I love colouring Mo's images they have so much character and life to them. I haven't made this card for anyone just for fun, and I don't do that very often.

Bristol Playday - so much fun

Hello Everyone, I went to the monthly Bristol playday yesterday and it was so much fun and I even managed to make something lol. Normally I spend so much time talking I forget about the crafting lol.

The group is full of wonderful crafters and so much talent it is scary, I have learnt so much from these lovely ladies that I am forever in their debt.

Now if I could only manage to work out how to post the picture of the basket I could show you what I made.

Until next time.

LOTV Again

Hello All,
I had a bit of a crafty weekend last week and made this card for a Birthday that isn't until May - I know how organised is that lol. There is no danger of the recipient seeing the card early as she has yet to discover the addictive properties of the internet and blogging. I absolutely love this image and it is such a joy to colour I think after seeing the card on Jules blog I may need to invest in the rest of the mices range.

I didn't have any pink card to match so made my own with white and copics, will never be stuck for matching card again.

I have used Pink Petticoat papers for years and I always amazes me that I can find colour combos that I haven't tried before, there is such a colour pallet to choose from that it could easily last a lifetime. I recently discovered hidden on my computer the gingham papers that I bought when they were first out and somehow ended up in the wrong folder, good job I hadn't bought them again.

Off to play some more with the left over bits and see if I can make a snippet card for Jules challenge.

A New Home

I wanted to make a new home card for someone who is moving in with their partner and I didn't want it to be overly soppy, I thought of this image immediately and it was a joy to colour and quick too.

Not much else to say about this one really except I used glossy accents on the printed buttons.

New Job - New Beginning

Sometimes in life you need a new start and recently one of my friends has changed jobs and moved house and I have never seen her happier. Monday is her first day and I have made her a card which I hope has arrived. I used a colour combo that is new for me but will be one I will use again. I have used almost all Pink Petticoat stuff for the card and it still looks different to the other pp cards I have made - well almost, but if something ain't broke no point in fixing it!
