Taylored Expressions Haul 2013

I have put 2013 in the date for this video even though I ordered it in November 2012 as it has been sitting patiently waiting for me to arrive in Florida and open it. There were quite a few parcels waiting for me so expect to see more videos soon.

Back from Florida and Stash Videos

Hello all, it has been a strange few weeks, first I spent two weeks in Israel and now I have just come back from two weeks in Florida, I just wish I had brought the sunshine with me.

I filmed a few ok a lot of stash videos but tried this time to use my camera rather than the iPad but this proved problematic with importing and editing as I only have my iPad with me and hubbie is addicted to his lappy.

I will hopefully get the videos edited and uploaded shortly, I did decide to not buy as much but somehow that got lost in translation lol.

Sweet Abigail

This image is so sweet and reminds me of a bygone era. I couldn't decide what type of image I should use for my Aunt's birthday until I saw this one whilst searching for a fishing image for a recent card. it was so lovely to colour her too although next time I would use deeper colours.

Ingredients

Papers: "Apron Springs" Raspberry Road
Cardstock: "Pool Party' Stampin Up

Wine Anyone?

I really enjoyed colouring this image and think the wine looks like wine if you know what I mean. I used a colour combination I haven't used before R59, R89, R39 and a touch of R37, this was suggested by Kelly and it really works, all the colours are pretty similar and blended a lot easier than I expected them too. I covered the bottle and glass with glossy accents to give them a real shine.

The papers have all been given the distressed look with gathered twigs as when I tried to mat them it looked too much and I also wanted it to look a bit like a cork board.

I have used early expresso cardstock again, beginning to wonder how I ever managed without it and it sits on my desk permanently.

Ingredients:
Image: "Wine and grapes" Just Inklined
Papers: "Note to self" Echo Park at Jessica Sprague
Cardstock: "Early Expresso" Stampin up
Ink: 'Gathered twigs" Distress Ink Pad

Black & White Movies

This is another of the images that as soon as I had finished I couldn't believe how like an old black and white movie she looked. I have used mostly snippets on this card and it came together really fast as it seemed to make itself lol.

Paper is left over from the storage box I made at last months Bristol play day and was only discovered when I packed my bag for this month. Card is from the snippet folder and even the die cut is one of my how does this cut ones.

Not sure about the sentiment but I didn't want to distract the eye from the papers.

Ingredients:
Image: "Audrey loves her makeup" Stamping Bella
Papers: "Paris girl" Carte Bella at Jessica Sprague
Glitter Dots: papermania
Sentiment: "Curly Cue" Stampin up

Big birthday wishes

When I placed my first papertrey ink order last year I ordered the think big birthday sentiments, I knew they were large but had no idea of just how large they were going to be, they were so large they frightened me and I thought I would never use them but after seeing some cards on Jen's blog I decided to make the sentiment more of a focal point and hopefully it worked.

More of those MME snippets, very little left of this paper pad, have loved using it and even the smallest of scraps has been kept.

Ingredients:
Image: "polished to perfection" MFT and "think big favourites" papertrey ink
Papers: "blush" MME
Cardstock: black from snippet draw
Other: Black soot distress marker
Brads: papermania

AWOL and Sketch Saturday

Hi everyone, sorry I have been AWOL for a couple of weeks I got the unexpected opportunity to travel and couldn't pass up such a great experience. Normally when I know I am going to be away I schedule at least a couple of posts but there just wasn't time. I did visit you all though leaving comments with the hotel intermittent internet connection proved problematic and frustrating lol.

I took a few images and my neutral grey copics and decided to try the monochromatic look, really enjoyed this and have used one of these images on my card below. I added a pop of raspberry to the image to match the already printed papers in my snippet draw.

I have really enjoyed the sketch saturday challenges and have been trying to take part every week, sketches have always been my nemesis but I am slowing starting to enjoy them.

Ingredients
Image: "Miss Anya" The greeting Farm
Papers: Pink Petticoat in Silver Cloud and Raspberry Collis
