Lawn fawn mini sets are so cute and such good value, I was tempted by quite a few sets in their recent release but I resisted almost all temptation except this one lol.
I couldn't wait to ink, colour and cut him out, but then he sat on my desk unloved and I had no idea what card I was going to make.
I was tidying (don't faint) my craft desk and I found the background I coloured for the Hydrangea card and was about to throw it away when I though why not combine it with the hamster and so this card came together really quickly even if it did sit on my desk unmade for ages.
Ingredients
Image: "wheelie like you" Lawn Fawn
Dies: Blueprints 20 and lawn fawn "wheelie like you"
Inks: "tumbled glass and shaded lilac" both distress inks

Micey Day
As part of my new stamp storage I have a list of all stamps I own by companies, as part of that list I have marked if I have ever used a stamp before and that list is a lot larger than I would like to admit. This stamp was on that list and now I've used it Im not sure why it wasn't used before.
I followed one of the blueprint sketches and once I had found the papers this came together rather quickly. I'm sure I'm not alone in this but I knew I had papers with cherries on but could I find them oh no, I gave up and went for something different and there they were lol.

Mama Elephant Photobomb
My good friend Kay showed me this stamp set and I just had to get it, I couldn't wait and coloured this version straight away. I saw a card on the mama elephant blog and thought mmm shades of grey.
I wanted to create a kind of developing photo bokah background so I cut a panel using blueprints 20 then I inked it with pumice stone and black soot. Once it was dry I cut several circles using mft staxs and used "sweet tooth" pigment ink from mft to sponge through the circles. To finish I added some Heidi swapp White spray, it gives a lovely pearly look in real life.
The panel looked too plain on a white card base so I used mft grout Gray, I then sponged the White ink through a stampin up stencil , once that was dry I moved the stencil down and to the right and sponged with the grout Gray dye ink. This is something I would try again maybe with brighter colours next time.

Stampin Up Christmas
Last year went by in such a flash especially from October to December that I forgot to show lots of my christmas cards, most were mass produced designs but this one was different from the norm as I wanted to use this stamp set. Its from Stampin Up and its called "white christmas", I just love the snowman he has such character even though he is a tiny image.
I stamped the trees and snowman in black ink and then stamped the snowman again on a separate piece of paper and coloured him with copics. I wanted the sky to look like night so used darker distress inks, I should have stamped and embossed the snow before I completed the background but I didn't realise it was missing something until the inks were blended. At least the stray embossing powder looks like snow flurries lol.

Watercolour Hydrangeas
Clearly besotted recently had a sale and this is a set I've been wanting for ages so I decided to go ahead and get it, I'm trying to use new stuff before I put it away as otherwise I forget I have it.
I wanted to try creating blue hydrangeas as this is my favourite flower and thought water colour would be the easiest way, I stamped the image multiple times on tim holts watercolour paper and used my distress inks to colour them, its only my second time using them this way but I had so much fun and the effect was so much better than I expected. I wet the entire image and dropped the colour onto it, the embossed lines help keep it contained.
I decided that the flowers looked a little plain with a white background so I used my diamond circles stencil and sponged on some ink, I originally used tumbled glass and shaded lilac but the background was too vivid and overtook the image so I tried MFT dye ink instead, it blended so much easier than I expected and the colours were much pales than the DI, I might try water colouring with them next time. Don't worry I didn't throw away the other background I made another card with it, hopefully you will see that one soon.

Image: "just fabulous" Clearly Besotted and free cb set from Simply cards

Watercolour (all distress inks)
Leaves - mowed lawn and peeled paint

Magnum
Today is the birthday of a very good friend, we are the same age and very similar in many ways, especially our love of family, ice-cream and coffee, not necessarily in that order lol.
On one of our outings I discovered she likes my cat cards the best so even though I had bought a different image for her I knew her card had to have a cat on it. This stamp does remind me of her cat though, he is a lovely cuddly grey ball of fluff and runs to see you to get a tummy rub lol.
