Cheers to You

This card is a bit of a cheat, all the other cards I show on here are my own creation. Some might be ideas from others and classes I've attended but I made them all....except this one lol. This one I was given for my birthday with a note inside to reuse and pass on the joy so that is exactly what I have done.

So I don't have a kit list but I do know that the my friend made it at an mft class so I am guessing it is mostly mft products. I am going to recreate this as I have everything to do it lol.

Dinomite

Whilst in Florida I attended the "stampfest" stamping show and this show is one I love to attend because they have lots of different suppliers and show offers. AT the Pink and Main stand they were offering the stamps and dies for a few set for a show price of $10, this was such a steal I am surprised I only bought two sets.

I have liked this set for a while and as soon as I saw it I knew it was coming home with me so it feels good to use it before it gets put away never to be seen again lol.

Its a simple card, my style at the moment seems to favour this and I used oxides and stencils once again, can you see a pattern lol.

Ingredients
Image: "dynamite" from Pink and Main
Dies: Blueprint 20 from MFT
Stencil: Grassy edges, mini cloud and drifts and hills all from MFT with Tumbled glass, Peeled Paint and Hickory Smoke distress oxides
Card: "red" Recollections from Michaels

Copics
Dino - BG78, 75, 72
Red Balloon - E09, R08, 05
Yellow Balloon - Y17, 15, 13
Blue Balloon - B04, 02, 00
Green Balloon - YG15, 03, 01

MFT Album Page

Every year I attend the MFT retreat in Florida and each time they ask us to make something for Kim the owner, this year it was an album page and for once I knew what I wanted to do it just took a while to achieve.

I used all MFT products and I tried to use one from each type of stamps, I even used my very first MFT stamp purchase on it

MFT Retreat Card 7

Ok so I said the last post was the last card for a while but I forgot about this one lol. This one was designed by Laura Dovalo, who is a new designer at MFT and the queen of interactive elements.

Her cards were amazing and she was lovely too, such a wicked sense of humour.

I loved her use of a stencil to create a wallpaper in the background and just using the same ink to create a ground makes it all seamless

MFT Retreat Card 6

Another of the retreat cards and probably the last for a while, there are a few more but the birthdays aren't for ages lol.

This one is a peek a boo card and designed by Karolyn Loncon, I absolutely loved this card and I know I will be making more.

The outside had the dogs and the inside had the cats, she chose great colour combos and the card really pops, so I of course had to buy everything to make it again lol

MFT Retreat Card 5

Another of Stephanie Klauck's creations, I can normally spot hers a mile away as she loves all things rainbow, which is great cos I do too lol.

I had fun stitching the flower and was racing ahead when Barbara stopped to chat to me and I did running stitch instead and had to unpick it lol. I was so engrossed in our conversation.

MFT Retreat Card 4

This card was made on the first day and I think it was the first card too, this card set the tone for the rest of the retreat and it was a joy to create, have I overcome my aversion to interactive cards....mmmm....no but I do want to create more so thats a step in the right direction lol.

I have included both aspects so that you can see the uber cute whale move across the card

MFT Retreat Card 3

This year the retreat was dubbed by me as the "year of interactive cards" every session, there are 5 in total, had at least one interactive card.

This was one designed by Barbara Anders and I loved the idea, of course I wasn't listening and raced ahead and had already stuck everything down before I stamped the sentiments but it still works lol.

Not sure it is a card I would make again but I do like it.

MFT Retreat Card 2

The second card I have from the retreat at MFT is designed by Stephanie Klauck and used a new paper pad that I had to buy three of lol.

For some reason in the photo it looks wonky but it really isn't lol.

I did make a decision to start using the cards I make rather than just storing them and I have allocated almost all of the ones I made to people. The only issue I always struggle with is that the sentiments aren't what I normally put on a card, I am a plain and simple "happy birthday" girl, I know I'm boring lol.

MFT Retreat Card 1

I am so sorry for my blogging hiatus, it was unintentional and unexpected too. I always struggle after I return from my florida trips and this year although that has been bad I have still managed to make cards, photograph them and send them just not blog them. It does mean that the information I have on each card will be sadly lacking but I felt I needed to add them to my blog so that I have a visual reference.

I was hoping this year to post more and be more active in the blogging community, I even had visions of entering challenges but yet again life takes over and other things become priority.

So I'm going to put my big girl pants on and just get these cards posted lol.

Thank you for sticking around this far and hope you have an amazing day x

The first card from my list is one I created at the MFT annual retreat at the MFT store in Eustis. It was designed By Barbara Anders and even though it looks complicated it was easy to put together and fun too.
