Making Cards Lovely Ladies 6

This is the second card made in one sitting and again I used the direct to paper oxides to create the stripes. I am loving this and it is using up the spare white card I had left after cutting the gatefold cards for my friends wedding invites.

I went with different colours and widths on this one and I think I prefer it to the last one. I am sure I am not finished with this design yet.....sorry lol.

Fairy Wishes

It might surprise you but this card was made before the magical unicorn ones and kind of inspired the design of those. I had forgotten to show it though so that’s why you are seeing it now. I would imagine you have seen lots using this layout and I can see more in the future too lol. I know I sound like a broken record but I have been struggling with making stuff for a while now, I have the time but not the inclination, however since the lockdown started my mojo has been in overdrive. It might be the fact that I’m chatting on my iPad in my craftroom so I start doing stuff at the same time.

Anywho on to the card, it’s a simple design and one I might replicate for the other 4th birthday card I need. I have been trying to do that recently and it does work for me.

edited to add....nope I went a completely different way for that card lol.

Golf Mad

I am so pleased MFT re-released these spotlight sentiments, I use them a lot and always think how annoying it must be to see retired stuff you cant get but now with the vault releases you can get them again.

I went with a simple theme, I prefer guy cards this way...who am i kidding this is my style on most of my cards lol.

I drew the scene with the copics and coloured it in, it didn't take long and was fairly easy to do. I hope it looks like a golf course, now though I wish I had added a flag near the egde lol.

Walking with Teddy

I know I say this a lot but I can’t believe I have never coloured this image before. I am not sure if I am alone in this but I go through obsessions, I must have ordered four or five stamps of girls with prams for a birthday card and most (ok almost all) have never even seen ink. I am a firm believer that craft collecting is my first love and using the stuff I collect is a poor second lol.

I really wish I was better at using the stuff I have rather than always wanting the latest thing. This moment in time though is not the best to be planning a ban on spending ( I just had a big birthday and lots of both crafty goodies and money to spend on crafty goodies, lucky me indeed)

Enough waffling and on with the card, the papers are from a free pack from lili of the valley and they worked perfectly with the colour scheme I wanted. It’s a simple design but I wanted the image to be the centre of attention. Hopefully that was achieved.

Image : from Lili of the Valley
