16 - Wow they grow so fast

I can't believe that my cousin is 16, it seemed like only yesterday I bought him his first cuddly toy a frog that he used to carry everywhere. He is now a tall intelligent hockey playing guy, but is still the sweet little boy at heart.
He plays ice hockey for a team and as soon as I saw this image I knew it would be perfect, his uniform is black and white but the adult team is red, white and black so in honour of him being 16 I thought I would use red as well. This image was a joy to colour and is my first Kenny K but will definitely not be my last.

I used the 300dpi papers that I bought for my hubbies card, these are the digital versions of DCWV and I can see quite a few joining my collection. I love being able to size and print whenever I want so easy but it doesn't help to reduce the paper mountain in my craftroom lol. The pollycraft sentiment has been used again, these are fab as they can be coloured to match the image and there were four different ones offered as a freebie ages ago.

Clean and Simple Style

Like most people I search the internet for inspiration and when I found Kerry's site I loved the clean, simple and elegant style. I love the idea of using the white on the card as part of the design but have never been able to pull it off. I decided that today was the day to try it and I must say I am pleased with how it turned out. I used the woodware fluffy stuff again and it is amazing watching it puff up, really fun and makes me want to use it on everything lol.

Lots of Baby Boys

This year there seems to be a baby boy boom. It is a good job I bought the baby boy papers from Nit Wits as they have certainly been used a lot. There are such a lot of images around for babies and I just love this one from Mo. it seems to sum up exactly how a baby sleeps and brings a smile to my face everytime I see it. It is also a joy to colour so much so I have coloured three this evening alone lol. The scanner doesn't seem to be picking up either the blues in the papers or the layers of colour in the image, about time I invested in a new camera I think.

I am 5

Hello

Back again with two almost identical cards, I must say I prefer option 1 but had already made option 2 when I spotted the star paper. These cards are for my Mum and her friends grandsons, both are 5 in the same month but don't know each other so I can always create almost identical cards without either being aware.

I used a ready printed image and must say I am very pleased with it especially for the price, I bought it from Scrapbookingmad and it came with numbers 1,2,3 4 & 5 for the amazing price of 67p. They also had a girls set and bought that as well.

Papers: Nit Wit "Toy Store" (rapidly becoming one of my fav's)
Cardstock: Craft Work bought at Buyology

Thank you - Baby

Hi All
Well I am back with another card, had a bit of a crafting evening and made 4 cards in total, bit of a record for me. Went with an old trusted style but seems to work for me. Now the mojo is returning will have to start using sketches and entering challenges again.

I made this card for my friend, I really enjoyed making it and I hope she likes it. i seem to be using Digistamp Boutique images a lot lately, maybe it is because they are such a joy to colour and look so effective.

Well It is still January and I have made a few cards so not broken my New Years resolution yet lol. I decided a while ago that I would not buy another card if I could help it so I decided that I need to even make the male cards, not much to say about this one except I enjoyed making it. I printed the sentiment on white card but it looked to stark against the cream background so I coloured it with my copic marker and i think it worked really well.

New Years Resolutions - Which one will I break first

Its that time of the year again, time for celebrations and making resolutions. I kept one of mine from last year - to start a blog and this year I think I will challenge myself to post at least once a week. I seem to go through stages, I post almost everyday and then huge gaps lol. I also need to stop being so hard on myself if I don't post and just go with the flow. I have enjoyed posting more often this last month and hope this is a habit forming.

Has anyone else made any resolutions? Do you think you will keep them?

Happy New Year Everyone
