Picture Perfect

This paper has been used so many times I have lost count, it was definitely a good idea to purchase the digital version of this paper pad. Plus I can make it any size and it doesn't loose definition.

This is a larger than A2 card in fact its a 7 x 5 which isn't a size I use often however I had cut the letters at a friends house and I wanted to use them but the polaroid covered too much of them on a A2 card so I went bigger.

As it was a card for a kiddo it had to have their name and age as both of these things are essential for a kid card to be a hit, plus it had an interactive element and a hamster so I knew I was on to a winner lol.

Art Impressions - Crazy Friends

I am wondering if this ever happens to anyone else, I was watching a video from "theres Calvird - Lost in Paper" and she made a card with this set and I loved it, so I decided I needed to buy it. Ok so far the story is pretty familiar but once I found it and had it in my basket, a small niggle appeared in my brain and I decided to check my stamps and yes you have guessed it I already owned it lol. At least I suppose I didn't buy it twice and i liked it enough to want to lol.

This card sort of evolved once I remembered I owned the MFT wild stencil, bit of stencilling, colouring and wish bash bosh its all done lol.

Wake Up and Make Up

Sometimes when you see a set of stamps you instinctively know what you want to make and who for, this is that set lol. I am so pleased with it and already have more than a few ideas but the next one I show will be almost identical to this one as I made two at the same time just different colours lol.

It’s a perfect set for both teenagers and adults, so if you are sitting on the fence about getting it, jump off lol.

Floating away

I watched a Jennifer McGuire video on YouTube and I was inspired to make this card, I didn't have everything she used but I made it work with what I had and I am pretty pleased with the results.

Now this set is a hampton art/mama elephant set so its not the same quality as mama elephant but for the same price you do get the dies, now they cut everything with a very large border, too large for me so I hand cut this one. To get the matching inside I stuck two pieces of card together temporarily and then cut once and got two, this enabled me to hide the copic colouring when you open the card.

Card Making Session Florida Card 3

This card was so simple to make but so enjoyable. It is an interactive card and you just pull on the sides and the divers move in the water. This is achieved using acetate which the divers are attached too which is sandwiched in between the card panels. I really enjoyed it and I do have another one to make with the bits already cut but I just need to do it lol.

Dies:Hero Arts
Background: salted ocean, peacock feathers and blueprint sketch plus an embossing folder

Card Making Session Florida Card 2

This is another of the cards made with my Florida friends during a fabulous crafting day, I had looked at this stamp and die set and decided I didn't need it but of course after making it I had to go buy it lol.

The girl moves so easily and it really looks like she is swinging, I have already added a number to the leaves and it is ready to be sent out and of course recreated.

Card Making Session Florida Card 1

My florida friends are very dear to my heart and every year they spend so much time with me and without them I know I wouldn't enjoy my trips as much as I do.

One of the ladies organised an event at the place where she lived and we had a fabulous and huge room with drinks provided to use all day. It was lovely and four of the ladies designed cards for us to create.

This one was Mary's and she loves stamping Bella, especially the Odd range so this was her choice> I love that she found enamel dots to cover the skulls lol.

OMG Girl Power

On my last Florida trip I did a mammoth Kraftin Kimmie order, I have bought a few from Dies to Die for in the UK but they don't have the full range, to be honest I have since spotted more I should order so on my next trip I'm going to get those lol.

I have unusually for me used both images from this set but I won't show that one until after the recipients birthday.

After I return from a trip anywhere I always struggle with my mojo and thats when I revisit an older stamp or technique or layout to try to kick start my mojo, in this instance it worked and i not only enjoyed making this but I have made a few more too.

Wedding Fever

I was persuaded to buy this stamp set (and a few more lol) by Kristina Werner, she featured it on her YouTube channel and she had simply stamped and embossed it and also she had watercolored it. These two examples showed me how versatile it is and so different from my cute style.

I have chosen colours to reflect the wedding invitation and I wanted to wish the happy couple a lifetime of love, laughter and happiness.

What's Up Dude? Card 1

I bought quite a few Kraft Kimmie Stamps on my last florida trip and so far I have been busy using them. I stamped both images from this set and have used them both already, it will be a while until you see the other card though as I won't pop it on my blog until after their birthday.

In florida I also purchased 22 stencils, I know it's a ridiculous amount but in my defence all i bought were reduced ( ok almost all lol) this one I discovered in the decorating section in Michaels, not somewhere I would have looked but a good friend from Bristol playday had used a stencil and we discovered that Michaels sold them so we went on the hunt lol. And in case the suspense is killing you.....yes i bought that one as well lol.

Not much else to say except this is a simple card but for a teenage boy it fits the bill and for the first time in ages he actually thanked me too lol.

Sentiment: "happy birthday" from MFT

Avengers Birthday Card

I was looking for a large superhero image to make an 18th birthday card for my friend's son and one of my crafty friends suggested a colouring page might be an option. I searched for an avengers colouring page and this is the one I found.

Its a large card 8x8 so I left the image its original size, I did enjoy colouring it even if I wasn't sure what to do with the sky lol. I may make one like this again but I'm not sure lol.

Just a side note to say they loved the card and its framed in his room lol.
