UR Fabulous

edited: sorry ladies I meant paper pricking not piecing although there may be a way to use it or that too.
I have finally used this image in its entirety, I was a bit scared of colouring those large letters so decided to paper piece them instead and really enjoyed it, next time I think I will paper piece the girl as well.

I am so loving the blueprints 3 dienamics, they make measuring obsolete and everything is straight too. I didn't get the first two sets and now wish I had.

I also used two new tools on this card, the brad setter from making memories, wow this is so easy to use and no more stabbing myself with the prongs. And the second one was a suggestion
from Jody at the MFT workshop, she gave us pieces of plastic canvas to use to paper pierce and it makes it so much easier to line up and they make shapes too.

I was going to use the early expresso card for this but wanted a pop of colour so used some real red scraps, this is such a versatile colour and one of my faves.

Ingredients:
Image: "Got UR Back" A La Mode by MFT Stamps
Paper: "Circa 1934" Cosmo Cricket (from Jessica Sprague but they no longer stock CC)
Cardstock: "Real Red" Stampin up
Dies: 'Blueprints 3" and "Notched border" MFT Stamps
Brads: Papermania

Copic colours: R24, R27, E71, 74, 77, 79, BG70, 72, 75, E00, E000, E11, R02, E23, E27

Challenges: Snippet Playground

Absolutely great Amanda - love the image and paper piecing loads! Got me stumped how plastic canvas can help with paper piecing - maybe you can show it on one of your vidos?

And yes indeed, it certainly WAS you that sent me running off to buy the Boofles patchwork and buttons folders - bad influence :)

Hugs, Di xx

So funny, I went to just Google paper piecing and plastic canvas and as I was typing it the penny dropped about the missing letter R :) Brilliant idea!

Hi Amanda - thanks for popping over to visit - I am now following to see what you come up with your honeycomb die - I have only had mine a week... I guess that's why I chose the yellow first off... I have seen it done in blue on a boys card - very effective...Mxx

Great idea to paper piece those large letters instead of trying to color. The pattern paper made them really leap off the page. Liked your red mat too. Doubt if the 'brown family' would have had all the excitement of the red you chose. Fantastic card. TFS

I use to use plastic canvas to help me with my lines but finally broke down and bought a Fiber Friend. Love the piercings, great card. Thank you for visiting my blog, you are appreciated! Waving hi from the hills of North Carolina ♥

Love it...paper piecing the 2 large letters looks great!
I use the plasti canvas idea for paper piercing...and for pricking a teensy mark when I want to align a series of bling!
