Monochrome...Almost

I had never coloured an image in monochrome colours before so I decided to give it a whirl. I coloured the skin as normal and then got all the E40 series and set to work. I have only used E40, E41, E42, E43, E44, E47 and E49 but I think it looks very effective.

I wanted these stamps when they first came out but as it wasn't a stamper and made a mess everytime I tried I didn't buy them. My very first playday sorted that when Sue taught me to stamp properly and lets just say I haven't had any money since lol.  I bought these stamps from Donna and this is the first time I have inked her up so am entering Lisa's Waste not Wednesday challenge.

On a side note, since I organised my snippets I am finding I have used so many of them that certain colours are running low, was searching for a piece of blue yesterday and when I couldn't find it went with a different colour but still from the snippets when hubbie said you could have just cut into a new sheet but I hadn't thought of that lol.

I love that you are so into using up your snippets that you didn't think to cut into a new sheet!! I find my snippets multiply by themselves. One day I'll wake up to find that they've overrun the place. This is a lovely card... the brown ribbon works a treat with this cute stamp!

Fantastic coloring, Amanda! What a crack up about it not even occurring to you to cut into a whole piece of paper! I wish I were that dedicated about using up my snippets!!

Wow, what a totally adorable card Amanda. Just love the colouring of that fab image and the way everything else goes so perfectly with the monochrome theme.

Grinning here about your 'snippets focus' - I'm a bit the same, hate cutting into a new plain sheet of paper or card if I can help it and spend ages mulling over the snippets folder :)

On the other hand, don't use all of your snippets up - we'd miss you in the playground!

I reckon we should have snippets playground box (bit like a lost property box) where we can all dip in and take the colours we need and donate a snippet to replace it. Hugs Mrs A.
p.s. I'd need a skip just for mine!
