Making Cards Lovely Ladies 3

Fourth and almost last in this series, and probably my favourite of these images, I love the way she has her hand in her trousers and the way the top and jacket fall.

I went with the same layout  as the last one just different colours, now I am looking at the cards I want to colour more of them so that must mean I like them right lol.

Making Cards Lovely Ladies 2

This was the third lady I coloured and I knew exactly who she was going to be for as soon as I saw her.

I was ging to create a scrap background again but whilst looking for something else I found this old stripes background and I thought lets use that instead.

I can see why I was obsessed with this background and used it so much, in fact I used it on the next card as well lol

Making Cards Lovely Ladies 1

I know all I seem to show at the moment is multiples and pretty high multiples at that but during the lockdown/quarantine this is all I feel like making.

As soon as this magazine arrived I stamped all three of the ladies twice and set about colouring them in. So far five have made it onto cards and I will be showing them off over the next few days (one was a few days ago but who is counting lol)

For the background I tried something I have wanted to do for a while and I used scraps of white card to make it. I used distress oxides and went direct to paper and once they dried I cut them into three different widths and started adding them to a piece of copy paper. I am pleased with how this looks and I really want to make more too.

Later Skater

I was challenged by a few of my friends to make a card in an hour and this was the result, to be honest even with finding all the elements it didn't take anywhere near as long as I thought it would.

I kind of followed the last card I made with this set way back in 2016 but I included a different stencil and I was inspired by the orange of the baby cards I recently made and went with a combo that is very unusual for me but I must say I like it a lot.

Happy, happy, happy birthday

I had watched the video by Stephanie Klauk using this MFT stamp and as soon as I saw it I had to buy it lol. Of course Stephanie used rainbow and ombre and although that was my intention its not the way I eventually went.

The blue one I used all the B90's and for the last one I used the blender and tipped it with B91. The YG one was slightly easier as I had the right number of pens and this time I just did them a solid colour rather than shade them, that will be for next time when I am not in a rush lol.

Ingredients
Happy - Happy, happy, happy birthday from MFT
Birthday - Say it with Flowers from HunkyDory

If I fits I sits

Now in case you were wondering yes I have used the eclipse style on all the big birthdays around here lately and as I have made several more then you can expect lots more lol.

I bought this image from Mo's digital pencil when it was first released and always intended making a card for Paula with it but there are so many other images to choose from and when I needed a large one to make her 50th card this one was perfect/ I am so glad I hadn't already used it lol.

The second card as promised with a different image and a brighter colour combo, when I tried the blue card it just melted into the papers so I thought lets try Orange Zest and I like that so much better with these papers.

Not much else to say except welcome to the family little one and I hope we get to meet you soon.

Bundle of Love Number 1

Now normally when I make a new baby card I have a tried and tested design but what do you do when baby number 2 comes along and its the same gender.....well you do something different lol.

This wasn't my original idea and in fact I didn't want a circle but I just couldn't find a rectangle the correct length and width, I even tried cutting one and then repositioning the die to make it shorter but it  just didn't work so I went with a circle.

As is the case at the moment I made two of these same but different cards and I will show that one in a few days.

I can't imagine what having a newborn in the middle of a pandemic must have felt like, I know that for me it was agony not being able to see them and snuggle them but I am sure going to make up for that once this is all over (just in case you are wondering its the beginning of April when I am writing this an I have no idea how this awful situation panned out)

May all your Wishes come True

This card was a request from one of my playday crafty friends. Her granddaughter was about to celebrate her 4th birthday and she had a party for her nursery friends all arranged and then lockdown arrived and it all had to be postponed/cancelled and she was very upset. So my friend put a request out to her crafty mates to see if we would make her a card, of course we all stepped up and did exactly that.

Since then of course there have been lots of requests and I don't think I have ever made so many cards but thats what this hobby is about, spreading joy and kindness and being a ray of sunshine in an otherwise dark day.

I hope that this funny, lovely little girl has an amazing birthday with cake and presents and of course lots and lots of cards.

Cheers Big Birthdays Number 3

The third in these big birthday makes was a request from another playday lady who's daughter was turning 21 in lockdown and separated from her parents so they wanted to make sure she knew she was being thought about and missed. I asked her favourite colour and even though I had already made one in this colour scheme I went ahead and recreated it.

Having a birthday in lockdown can't be fun but a big birthday and having to cancel your party plans must be awful.
