The fifth and you will be pleased to know almost the last of this design. I think 2020 for me will be the year of multiples because that is exactly how I have been card making, I have gone way beyond the two cards in a sitting and made more like 6 or more lol. Of course this style can't continue or my other stamps will rebel lol.
Hopefully by the time this post goes live life will be returning to normal after all the virus stuff earlier in the year, I am writing this in March right in the thick of it so I have all my fingers and toes crossed that we are all ok.

Cutie Patootie
Do you ever buy a magazine because you love the free stamps and then a whole year later discover you have never used them? or is it just me!!!!
I bought this magazine for this chair, yes a chair stamp.....I thought I could pop people or critters on it and then I forgot all about it.
I found the magazine with stamps whilst looking for a sentiment for the friends with fins cards and I was inspired by the chair again. Now I knew if i didn't make something whilst the inspiration was there I would forget all about these stamps again. So I went for it and this is the result. A quick scene card and another birthday sorted.

Wake up and Make up again
I stamped this card last year and I had started to colour it but somehow it got mixed in with some papers on my desk and I lost it. Of course I didn't realise it was missing until I found it again lol.
I had to finish colouring it and make it into a card as I love the images. Its a simple design but I think with all the stuff going on it needs to be simple to work.
It did make me want to use this set again though lol.

Friends with Fins
I have been trying to use older stamp sets during the lockdown and this is one of those sets. I intended originally in just making the shark card but once i had made the background and decided on the design I realised I could cut the background into four and make four cards at once.
I wish I had kept the die in the horizontal orientation but they all still work ok.
The background used a technique that I learnt from Stephanie Klauck at an MFT retreat, I used alcohol ink cardstock and ink smooshed distress oxides onto it, drying between layers and once it was dry it was really chalky and dull, the magic happens when you add the distress glaze over the top and wipe off the excess, it brings all the layers to the top and makes it look like water.

oh my whiskers
I made this card when I was making the magical unicorn cards, I ws originally going to use the rainbow background I had left over but when my playday friend asked for 4th birthday cards for her granddaughter that seemed too perfect to not use.
I used aa different colour for the clouds than I am used to and I really like it, it might become a new favourite. I also wanted to order the city scape stencil from Clearly besotted but as I wanted it done and I couldn't wait I created my own using a retired mft cityscape die. I used the negative and black soot ink and bish bash bosh I was done.

Mini Cat Agenda
I have been looking at he stencils at clearly besotted and spotted one that makes circles to pop small images in, now I couldn't wait for the stencil to be delivered so I found a cover plate die from Mama Elephant and I cut it from cardstock and used that. I am pleased with how this works and I can see me using it again soon, I have lots of these mini stamps that would work for this style.
I do wish I had bought the dies to match this set as it was extremely fiddly to cut out but I think its worth it in the end.
Ingredients

Sentiment: "to everyone" from clearly besotted and an old making cards freebie
Stencil: created using a mama elephant circle die and cracked pistachio oxide ink

Fresh Cut
Another big birthday and another eclipse, I have no idea what I would do if I didn't have these large number dies they make making a significant number so easy to do.
This time I went with a large penny black cling stamp and it took so much longer to colour than I expected even though I used less colours. Its not one I see myself reaching to colour often, which is a shame as its lovely.
Not much else to say except I hope the recipient enjoyed their lockdown big birthday.

Flower Frame Cards
Since lockdown began I have been buying magazines remotely and probably more frequently too. Normally I see one and I talk myself out of buying it but unfortunately online you can’t do that once you’ve hit the buy it button lol.
This magazine caught my eye for this die set and I had an idea of what I wanted to achieve, of course that didn’t happen but I am pleased with how they turned out. I was going to try the stained glass technique a la Jennifer McGuire but I thought I would colour one on white first to see what it looked like and I kept going lol.
I have layered the die three times and that makes it look more finished to me, the embossing folder was a last minute addition and is probably my favourite part. I have no idea who makes it though as it came with a magazine ages ago.

Candles
I saw a card made for a friend with this set and I thought oh I could recreate that, of course I di it slightly different but I used all the same elements. The main difference is that I didn't put everything on an angle. I made five cards as I was stamping five candles and it made logical sense to have everyone be a different colour. I am sure i could recreate this for ladies using brighter colours and maybe that will be the next batch make I do.
