And of course its a birthday card, I ran out of christmas cards a few days ago lol. Also its not from the newest obsession line either....or maybe its the next obsession lol.
I do like these flowers from polkadoodles, such movement to them and an absolute joy to colour too.

I love the expressive nature of the kraftin kimmie stamps, I will admit to having a few and most have been used at least once.
Wow I hear you say a birthday card in December lol. This of course will show that I went on another obsessive kick with this stencil and this mft stamp set and as I am writing this I can feel it returning lol.
The last christmas card of 2022 and a nice bright one to finish this years mammoth makes, at the beginning of December whilst out to lunch with a crafty pal she announced she already had cards for next year and I thought I should do that, get organised but part of me enjoys the rush, panic and adrenaline from having to make over 100 cards in a month lol. I do wonder if I would feel less stressed if I did this and I suppose one year I will try it but will that be 2023....you will have to wait and see lol
Last but one christmas card for 2022, I always feel sad at this point because I want to carry on making them but my room is packed away and clean and I don't want to mess it up again and of course the January birthdays start in a few days so I will be back at it.
I hope you all had an amazing christmas day with good food, friends and family and of course lots of presents. I say this every year but boxing day is my favourite as we get to eat leftovers and chill, the food is still fabulous but there isn't the amount of clearing up required lol.

This year for the first time in about twenty years my hubbie and I are exchanging gifts, I am so excited to give him his presents, more excited than I am to see what he got me lol. We did wish lists and that was so much more fun than I expected.
Now I know the post title is misleading but is anyone else feeling like a dragon today too. I am nowhere near ready and I am not sure how that is even possible as I was buying presents and making cards in September but here we are another year and another stressful last minute rush lol.
Only one more sleep until the big man in a red suit arrives so I hope you have all been good, although given the cost of energy at the moment I think some of us are hoping for coal lol.
Today is also not a christmas card!!!! I made this for my friend and I didn't want her to see it before her birthday so here it is. I am sure it makes a change from all the christmas cards
Not a usual christmas colour scheme but I do like the pale purple. This wasn't the card I set out to make today but its the one I ended up with.
The one I was intending making was a flat shaker and also had an aperture window with a peekaboo penguin but it went decidedly sideways so I started again and this was the result.
I can't believe that I still have more cards to show and have run out of days, at the beginning of the month I thought I would struggle as I mostly batch made but there have been more colour combos and designs than I realised, have I made a dent in my stash....of course not lol.
Wow how is it the 22nd December already, where are the days disappearing to. I hope you are all ready and all the shopping is done. I started earlier this year and I am still running round like a headless chicken lol.
Sometimes the two images in a stamp set are too fabulous to not use both and that was the case with this set, I had a pine tree branch from the gina K crop and create set and I just stamped it randomly and even if I say so myself it looks like a christmas tree lol.
This set from Darcie was perfect for my cousin who has just added a dachshund to their family, of course theirs is a different colour but there was no way I was matching that lol.
When I was in florida in September I was able to place a few online orders and pick up a few hobby lobby bargains too. This entire card except the embossing powder contains items from that one trip. My Pink and Main order contained the stamp and die set as a freebie, I was blown away by the set and probably would have bought it which is always nice.
Of course I have used the notched die and also the kraft card, am i obsessed, I will let you be the judge of that lol.
Originally both the houses and birds were the same colour but I decided to overstamp them with versafine clair but one had moved slightly so it went blurry so I had to start again and this time I decided to reverse the colours, not sure which I prefer now.
Not many days left until the man in the red suit arrives, am I organised I hear you ask....of course not lol.
I am not entirely sure how long I have had this stamp set but its a while, it even had dust on it lol.
I am still obsessed with embossing the background and also the notched die from Pink and Main, its the perfect size and shape. Of course I do wish I had measured better when adding the reinbeer bottle as its now as a jaunty angle lol.
Christmas is fast approaching and my cards are all now made and posted, I set myself a deadline of the 1st December but rarely make that. As I am writing this I want to make more cards but of course I am in the final throws of organising christmas presents, wrapping paper and food lol.

Every year I think I will go with a simple easy to produce design for the almost thirty playday cards I need to make and every year what is quick and easy on one certainly isn't on 30 lol.
I bought this set from Colorado Craft Company after seeing it in their "Christmas in July" release. I knew who I was going to use it for but not how until I saw a card made by the lady that owns "The Stamping Shed" and I thought I can adapt that lol.
I found a really old cable knit sweater embossing folder and it embossed the kraft card beautifully. Next of course it was the notched die and I wasn't going to have the white section too but the jumpers got lost in the background without it. The merry die is an old "papertrey Ink" one and didn't have the holes to poke the die out so they became a labour of love and took longer than all the other elements combined lol. And finally I was being tight and didn't buy the die as I thought its a simple image and easily fussy cut....after 30 I regretted that decision lol.
And finally I cheated with the christmas word, I couldn't face heat embossing 30 of them so I made them on my computer, printed them out and die cut them....cheating or what lol
I made this at the same time as the one from yesterday, They were a joy to colour but not something I will be rushing to do again.
Colorado craft company now have this image with the head of santa on it and I do think maybe I should get that one too.
Unusually for me I am running out of christmas cards to show you, that of course is the curse of the batch making. I got so carried away with different colour schemes I didn't think to stop and try other stamps/dies in my stash.
This year I have bought very little christmas stamps and even if I buy no more I have enough to last a lifetime but of course I can't stop because every year there is a cuter set then last year lol. I did think of challenging myself to pick a set and make a card once a week but not sure how long that would last lol.
The obsession this year has of course been the notched die and embossing, wonder what next years will be lol.
Onto the card finally lol. I used a set from either last year or the year before and coloured it on kraft card, I really enjoyed this but will admit it took longer then all 4 snowflake cards did lol.
You didn't expect yesterdays card to be the only version I made did you lol. Whilst chatting with friends and showing them the die they noticed the packaging had the words cut in red, black and white and it was stunning. I of course wanted to use the kraft card bases I had left over so I thought why not ivory, cranberry and pine as a combo and it worked amazingly, also I got two for the price of one lol.
Can you believe I bought this die in the Country View Crafts advent sale in 2021 and cut all the pieces in January and only just assembled and made the cards. Of course in that time I have lost all the little inner bits but I still like it without them and the recipients aren't cardmakers so hopefully won't realise anything is missing.
Its such a large image I really didn't add anything else to it.
I attended the Crop and Create in September and this set and card was one of the ones we made. Of course the original I made I didn't have all my supplies with me so it was darker and hand cut this one I felt I could make my own. I have used the same colours as Gina but lighter versions (gina's looked lighter than mine as I am heavy handed) I also incorporated one of the suggestions that arose during the session and that was too mask the bottom portion of the rooftop stamp. I am very happy with how this turned out.
The final one for this year now what on earth am I going to do for their 10th birthdays, now I could say don’t worry it’s ages away but actually it’s less than 3 months until the first one lol.
The green version of the trees and the final colour scheme, I do think the motto of the cards this year is ....flat....quick...easy lol

I was looking for a quick and easy design for the mass produced and posted cards for this year and my goodness I found it. I kind of wish I had made more and it is definitely a design I will go back to.

Another day another colour scheme, of course these have gold embossing and they are rich and elegant in real life too. I have lightened three of the trees so you can see the words but the white embossed tree is the true cardstock colour.
I do think I need to address my photos recently and apologise, I dropped my camera and it reset the controls and try as I might I can't get it to focus and give me the crisp images I am used to and I didn't want to not show these as I am proud of them.

The final version for now anyway and one I am surprised by I didn't expect the green ink to turn out this colour and this is definitely my favourite colour scheme although I do wish I had made the borders black
